Looking good so far. Soon you will need to balance at the canopy so you can maximize the yields.
Welcome to the community!
Looking good. Just watch your nitrogen. Leaves look dark an waxy on the lower side of them. Do a run off test to see what u got in and make sure you are not over feeling. Other than that off to a good start. Make sure you keep topping so you can fill out your scrog also!
WOW I hope so
Ok just read could be a potassium deficiency possibly because of to much nitrogen @GrizzlyGrows. Unfortunately as I have not read enough before starting process. It’s not like growing a tomatoe . I am current using miracle grow potting soil. The other thing I read could be light burn. Well I went from 1 600w LED In 2x2 to 2 600w in a 2x4 tent. Lights currently at 12.5 inches. Also worth noting I have only been water maybe .5 liters every 24-36 hours and never really any run off. Last time I watered I waited til completely dry and used 1.5 liters. Been 48 hours now and soil nice and moist not wet though.
This likely the reason.
So far Iv read every guides in the first 3 chapters. Some I have reread.will be doing more reading as I have a thirst for knowledge.
So far so good. Try to even out the canopy. For the burnt edges and tips I just ran into something similar and found out my light intensity was too high on my blurple light. I used my par meter. Didn’t think it was gonna be this handy but im really digging this tool but id also take the advice of others as it could also be a deficiency
Ok so the 2 bigger ones on the right are Bruce banner and actually sprouted earlier than the other 3 GSCX. Tried to germinate all same time. Between time and genetics would make them taller? Iv read Sativa can take 2 weeks longer to fully mature would they both flower closely?
3 miracle grow soil. Can any one steer me in the right direction via videos or articles or pictures for soil
The problem with miracle grow is that just about all of their blends are filled with time released nutrients that aren’t typically put together for the likes of cannabis. It’s workable for a lot of people, but most beginners have less than ideal experience with it.
Fox farms is very popular brand, most greenhouse supply stores or hydroponic shops will carry ocean forest and/or happy frog from them. I don’t really care for their products much, but lots of members here could help you out with it.
Rather than go hunting for specific brand, maybe find out what is easy for you to get locally and see if something works.
So my PAR reading was about 1100. I noticed it was the tip brown only where it read that high. I readjusted the lights and now it’s reading 600 in center
Depends on the week of flower or veg your in. Im in week 3 of flower and have them adjusted to 800 all except my middle light which is at 700 because I got tired of messing with it for the day. Here is a couple phrases i took from this page. " Cannabis seedlings require only 200-300 PPFD per second during the first three weeks of life.
To deliver 20 moles of light per day to your plants, your grow light will need to put 308 umol per second on your canopy for 18 hours straight during the cannabis vegetative (veg) phase .
During the cannabis flowering phase , the grow light will need to deliver 462 umol per second for 12 hours straight in order to achieve 20 moles of light per day.
If you want to increase the amount of light from 20 to 40 moles per day, resulting in higher yields, you simply need to double the numbers above – 308 PPFD to 616 PPFD during the vegetative phase, and 463 PPFD to 925 PPFD during the flowering phase."
I noticed that my GSC extreme was ready by week 9 and my Bruce Banner could of probably gonna 11-12 weeks but I was chasing a head high instead of couch lock so I harvested at week 10 with some white pistils (which was probably too early but I ran into a space and time constraints so worked with what I had) so id imagine a 2-3 week gap between harvest times on these ladies
I hope so too, a sucessful grow feels so good an a lot o ways
If you’re growing autoflowers you should stick to the recommended vegetative phase light intensity of 306-617 PPFD for the whole life of the autoflowering cannabis plant .
That’s because autoflowers require 18 hours of light per day for the whole life cycle, instead of switching to 12 hours of light for flowering like photoperiod cannabis plants.
I am growing autos and the light is 18/6
Hi Dmac, I’m a newbie and have read many of the guides and I am sure that Robert tells you to stay away from soils like Miracle gro. Maybe the soil is ‘running hot’ ?
