New SoG Setup, got a min?

Good day my fellow cannabis cultivators!

I’m in the process of finalizing my SoG setup for my next run, and I’d love your input on the setup.

If you can’t be nice, please go away. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Alrighty, here is what I have so far. Please feel free to comment, suggest, share experiences, etc…
RDWC System
38 Gal Tote
13 Gal Reservoir (auto-topoff)
Total capacity: 30 gal running max
5 x 5" square pots
320w 8 output air pump

  • 6 x med air stones in tote
  • 2 x med air stones in reservoir

3/4" 480GPH Main Flow w/ 6 fountains
1/2" Drip pump 320GPH to each plant
3" PVC return

Tent: Setup:
AC Infinity Controller 69 Pro
AC Infinity 48x24x72
AC Infinity 6" Exhaust w/ Carbon Filter
Vivosun 4" Intake Exhaust
2 x AC Infinity 6" Osc Fans (Top of canopy)

  • tethered via UIS Splitter to controller

AC Infinity Lights totaling 374w:

  • S24 @ 200w
  • S22 @ 100w
  • S16 Supplemental Side Lighting @ 74w
    • may double this
  • Tethered via UIS Splitters to controller

Nutrients:
General Hydroponics

  • FlorTrio
  • CaliMagic
  • Armor Si
  • Hydroguard (Botanicals)
  • FloraKleen (Monthly 2 Hr Flush)
    Growee pH Controller
    Future: Growee Nutrient Pumps
    53 Gal RO Reservoir (3 ppm)

Tent is connected to air via the 4" intake to an AC unit piped directly in and when need to help control humidity, I open the side intake.

Cons: Tent & Dehumidifier Exhausts into Grow Room! More heat.

Right on Grow Bro, are you adding a chiller for the res? I run an aeroponic system but do so in the winter and set my res on the cold concrete floor, it helps keep the temps at 70 and below. I use Southern Ag in stead of Hydroguard. 1/4 of the price and same ingredients, concentrated :love_you_gesture:

Thanks @OGIncognito . I’ll check that out.

I don’t plan on adding a chiller at the moment, but it is on the if needed list. I have been able to keep my water around 69°F; however, that has been inside the tent also.

Any recommendations on a good chiller for 30 gals?

I’ve gotten lucky but plan on extending and adding 3 more set ups to run year round and have a feeling a chiller will be needed, the winters help now and an occasionally frozen water bottle in the res when temps get over 70. I’ve researched several chillers from $280-$400 but haven’t pulled the trigger on that expense :love_you_gesture:

Same here on the chiller. Everytime in think I need one, I find a way to drop the temp and it’s all good. However, next run I’m running two RDWC systems.

Provided I don’t F this one up! :grin:

@OGIncognito I ordered some Southern AG GFF. I saw recommendations to use 25% of what I was using with Hydroguard with was 5ml/gal in hydro.

Thoughts?

The Southern Ag is great and super concentrated. I think I was running around 2 ml per gallon. A little goes a long way :love_you_gesture:

So the new tent will be here Monday. I should be able to start to build out the SoG RDWC system later this week. I’m excited to give it a run.

Yes sir! I’ve been making room for her in the grow room. I’m down to two tents with AC. Everything else has been vacated including my RO reservoir. Forgot how life sucked without that. It’ll go back up once the big girl gets her place.

Dude, I daisy chained my lights a couple of weeks ago and forgot to switch it back to auto for the UIS to run it. I just realized I’ve been giving my auto 24 hrs of light for like two weeks now. Damn it!
