See mars hydro came out with a quantum board led anyone try one?
They are nothing new. Far inferior to HLGâs product line. The light is only 150 watts of lesser quality LEDâs of older generation tech.
But it will grow weed. How well it does is a good question.
Dude above isnt lying. Its a BETTER quality light then the blurples. But if my choice is Bridgelux (diy strips) or Mars? As of today⌠and probably tomaro too. Will be the EBâs
Welcome to ILGM
I have been following those newer mars hydro lights (the SP and TS) everywhere, and have seen many reviews on YouTube (check the Mars Hydro reviews from the Migro channel)âŚ
Those are the best lights from China so far.
Very good light spread and coverage.
Meanwell drivers on the more powerful models.
Almost 2 umol x watt efficiency with the SP.
Almost double than most blurples, and VERY close to HLGs QBsâŚ
The only reason im not getting one next, is because i really want to try the Rspec boards from HLG.
The Mars lights seem a bit heavy in blue and not that much on red.
First indoor grow after first ever outdoor grow. I purchased two of the sp250 lights for a 4x4 tent and am looking forward to sharing the results. They fit the budget and as DMD stated many great reviews.
Sounds good! If u have a journal, tag me in it! Also welcome to ILGM @Budlight
Welcome to ILGM, @Budlight!
Thanks for the welcome. I can see by the posts that there isnât much love for Mars lights here. Iâd be lieing if I said I didnât second guess my choice after lurking the site for a bit. That said, I have the lights already and they seem to be working. I read a little about a âgrow journalâ and what it includes and am contemplating putting one together. For now, this is the set up with 2 White Widow finishing and 7 GSC extreme 2 weeks in. I read a post here or on another site on LST and thought I would try it. Seems I got a pretty good right angle on the main stem but the main cola is proving near impossible to stop or slow down.
Sorry, I guess I should have researched how to post pics firstâŚ
Are your plants photoperiod or autoflowering?
Man, those lights are good lookingâŚ
Iâm extremely curious about the results you get out of those in flower, because i have no doubt that those lights are perfect in vegâŚ
The US dollar is going up fast relative to my own currency, and i would really like to have a 3 year warranty for peace of mindâŚ
On the other hand, a couple of HLG kits surely would make me happier, but thatâs about 50% more money
All autos. The 2 that are flowering have been in the tent for 3 weeks. They are 67 days old and they will be 10 weeks on 9/10. They were started outdoors on 7/2. My first attempt at the WW autos were done in 10 weeks outdoors. These do not look like they will be ready in the same amount of time. I will try and get a good close up and post it.
Definitely start a journal and give details on the Mars lights. Most folks are a bit leery of them still so it would be good to get a decent real world report on them.
Yea some ladies train easily. Some have a mind of their own! Like âwhat netâŚâ
And again. Not tryna be a downer or knock em at all. Was just my opinion. I also think u can grow some high grade kick a** reefer with them babies. And will be right here watching while ya do it! Or if u start a new journal feel free to tag me over on it. Happy growing
This is 3 weeks in with the SP250s . The middle one had a bit of a hard start. She took a couple three days longer to pop. The seed skin was stuck so I popped it off with the point of a finish nail. 10 weeks for the middle/outer plants in the pic. The bigger plants are a little behind compared to my first outdoor. All from ILGM seeds.
Mars has some ok blupurp I have 2 600w led which at best is only 243w a piece for a 2x4 there good. Not the best especially for the money. Way over priced and the QBs are just as shotty over priced and really not great for flower.
Those look great man
Do you have a journal here to follow?
No I donât, but I will update as it goes in this thread.
