Thatā€™s a skill Iā€™m still trying to perfect, tried building my coco on several grows and damn near killed them. Did a risky move and pulled them and did a root rinse and into FF coco loco and they were autos around 2 weeks above ground. Turned out ok.

@Covertgrower @dbrn32 u guys use any silica? I was thinking about rhino skins from advance or silica blast from botanicare. Any thoughts? @OGIncognito

I think most members use the silica blastā€¦ I use diatomaceous earth.

I top dress that as well on occasion, mainly to help kill the fungus gnats larvae. Good to know it has additional values as well.

same here brother, exact same. Iā€™m just fortunate to be a father to older kids that are in college (almost empty nest) so I have a room for my tents. Gotta be stealthy lol.

Right on Highwayman, my last several bags of FF medium have come with guest. Last year was nice and clean, not so this year. I Thought maybe the bags had holes in them and picked up the fungus gnats from the a garden shop here, went to another shop and the same thing. Trying Coast of Maine one one plant this grow. Super clean has time released nitrogen and that gives me a little uneasy feeling. Gonna be a lot of run off testing, :love_you_gesture:. Sorry for hijacking your thread @Growcoast

Iā€™ve used it last 3 grows and love it, like you said super clean. I think they are smaller than FF so maybe FF lost product quality as they got biggerā€¦who knows. Youā€™ll like COM better for sure.

Agree, I see myself headed that way with the COM. Thanks for the confirmation. Howā€™s the nitrogen release work for you, do you just take routine run of readings? 1st time with a slow release fertilizer, other than MG when I grew outside.

I used silica blast for years, but stopped buying it when I found out Scottā€™s miracle grow bought them. Same for gh. If recipe hasnā€™t changed silica blast is a great product. It will raise your ph though, so be ready for that.
