She is two days into the third week just transplanted her. I know she needs a bit more time to snug into here new home. Just wondering when I should start to train her. I am trying not to hover over her too much she is a blue dream auto. Some pics of her
Photoperiod or Auto?
It’s a blue dream auto
You can start anytime if LDT but if you are super cropping or topping, wait a bit. Just my opinion.
Here is typically when I super crop my autos
O wow that looks crazy it doesn’t hurt it too bad? The leaves in the soil? I just transplanted it she seemed a little in shock but not too bad. Just don’t want to stress her out to bad after transplant. Thanks for your advice. I might start that in the next few days.
Wait about a week. Plenty of time.
It is a weed. Just squeeze and gently twist back and forth until she falls over. Then tie her down
I like topping my autos above the 4th or 5th node just depends on the training technique
Blue Dream auto topped above the 4th node and strip all growth below the 3rd node. You’ll grow nodes 3 and 4 with this technique. Simple one and done topping with fairly good yields for an auto.
Thanks and man does that look good. I am just a bit worried don’t want to kill my first one but live and learn
Dang, those ladies look nice, @OGIncognito!!
Grassy Azz Grow Bro, Blue Dream auto
I was the same as you my first grow.
I grew 4 plants at first and said, “Lord please just give me at least one plant that lives and gives me one ounce total and I will be happy”
I had all 4 survive and have like 6 oz.
The second grow I learned more and more and now I get about 16 oz from a tent of 4 plants.
My recommendation is to stay on this forum and read random threads… Amazing what you will pick up and end up making tour own path.
Biggest thing I learned was to use Jacks 321. Game changer!!
Easy. Simple. Cheap. And plants grow fantastically healthy!
Thanks that’s what I have been doing it’s been a sensory over load just needed someone to tell/show me I appreciate all the help. From what I have seen and read everyone is super friendly and helpful but that’s what you get from people who love to smoke
super thanks. I will keep you posted on the journey.
@VirginiaGrowBoy hey sorry to bother ya but was wondering if I should trim anything off of my little one. I know now to not center it up if I am going to train them this way
Remind me again, auto or photoperiod,?
Regardless, don’t think it needs trimmed yet. But that is just my opinion… you want the leaves “solar panels” in the early grow
@VirginiaGrowBoy it’s an auto and thanks again sir for the help. I feel like it’s coming along nice.
Welcome Split! Great communtiy here. No Trolls.
@Splitfive
Your plant looks very healthy. You should be proud. Many don’t even make it this far.
Just continue to spread her out and tie down the newer forming branches.
Love following your grow.
What has you most concerned in the upcoming months?
How to tell if the plant continues to be healthy? Light intensity? When to defoliate was one of your questions… what else comes to mind?
@VirginiaGrowBoy I feel pretty good about it right now just taking my time and letting it do the work trying not to be overly aggressive with it, which I have to keep, reminding myself to. I just was concerned about trimming don’t want to take of to much or to little because I know it’s an auto so from what I read you don’t want to do to much again not to sure . But just started a photo gold leaf and getting a Jack herer auto going today. Like you said I will pick stuff up here and there and get my own system going but just trying to stay vigilant about it so I don’t fubar it. Got fox farm soil right now was looking into the jacks 321 and coco but just trying to keep it simple. Before I figure out what will be the best for me. Really appreciate you help and hope you don’t mind me asking questions thanks again
That is a great plan!
