New Grower - Temp Setup - Advice on What to do Post-Seedling

@Bunger64 can you please elaborate on your veg cycle? When does that begin and end? If my firstborn plants are 10 weeks old and my second born are 5 weeks old, I hat stage / cycle are they in?

Ok so Its just my process soak my seads sprouts go solocup for about 1 month of age then the plug goes into the home pot doesnt matrer if its a coofee cup or a 10 gallon potlight schedule is 18/6 for the next month. The are usually 12"" to 24" tall and switch to 12/12 for flower most of my auto will have switched to flower by now and the photos if I dont move them they will get to tall for my area. 3-5 months harvested drying curing. I just know if I wait to long in veg they sky rocket. I also used to cut them to make multible colas but I have so many going it just makes it harder to manage.

These will be done by the end of july or start of August if you venture over to my solocup farm you will get a better Idea. I use solocups just so the room gets used more efficiently

Photos period plants will not bloom until you turn the light schedule to 12 hours of COMPLETE darkness, this is called the flower cycle.

18 hours light on 6 hours dark is considered the veg cycle, this is the easiest more simple way to explain it.
While in veg the plants will continue to grow bigger and bigger until YOU make the switch.

Growing can be as difficult or as simple as you want it to be.
If you want top shelf craft cannabis it will be difficult and take experience, if you’re happy with just home grown meds it can be simple with little effort.

If you are still in veg you can cut the closest branches away from the light, maybe cut them back to an even canopy and let them bounce back and once you see them get over the stress and they are happy you can switch them to 12/12 light schedule.

If you have any questions just tag me.

Maybe post a pic of the entire plants.

Ok, so the younger ones I will try topping and bending; I’ll do one of each. The older ones, is it too late for them? And I still have them all on an 18/6. I did not know they needed 12/12 to flower. Will they still do it if I change it now?

Once you make the 12/12 change they sure will! They just make sure you do all your stressful trading while in veg, wait for them to get over that then make the switch to 12/12.

Good morning lovely people! Thank you so much for helping me on my first grow! The ladies ended up yielding 5.71oz. I think that’s amazing for my first grow and I’m super excited about starting my next grow!

I am on to grow number 2 and I want to show you guys where I’m at and also get a little advice.

My new girls are Dream and Tavi and they’re already doing new things. Dream fell over but she turned herself towards the light and is continuing to grow beautifully. Tavi ended up popping out a twin along side her and I am a little concerned. The last grow didn’t have any surprises but I am remaining calm like so many of you have advised me to do, and asking the experts.

I used the same setup as last time: 3x3 tent, TS1000 light, Fox farm bush doctor for soil and the grow kit by ILGM for nutes. I tried to sprout different seeds but they didn’t go as well as my white widows so, back to my originally girlies.

Also, I want to mention with Tavi, she has some discoloration on her leaves. I’m wondering if it’s due to her having to share, again, don’t want to freak out and start doing stuff, just want to see what you all think first.

I welcome all comments and thank you guys so much.

Goodmorning Growmie, Sharing is okay but they start getting established it might interfere with removing one, try not to spray the water away helps make the roots go out. The big girl if thats her stem I would replant or add to it, looks like she stretched for light and fell. I have my sprouts on a low ligjt till the get as big as the leaner

Just remember you can love them to death. i would worry they take off before long and i would do as @Bunger64 saying happy growing my friend

Thank you for your advice! Can I ask what you mean by add to it? Or even how to replant it? I was afraid to touch it and make it worse but I did want to straighten her up right (the big one).

For the other one, should I try to separate them now? They both came from one seed so I figured they were using the same roots and didn’t want to risk killing one or both. However, I am worried that as they continue to grow they might interfere with each other.

Also, to clarify, instead of spray I should pour water? In order to help the roots?

I really appreciate you guys!

You want to water in circle about 1inch from plant i would take one out of there they will compete with each other plus roots will entangle with each other and @Bunger64 meant put soil up around plant to it almost touches leaves

Im not so sure having 2 plants in one small pot like that will allow both of them to grow abundantly. I tried this with pepper plants before and they didnt grow. They were stunted due to the roots communicating, the way roots communicate by electrical impulse. They canceled eachother out. Not until i separated them and gave them their own pots did they start to grow. Just sharing my experience with you. Take it for what its worth… I’ve never heard of 2 plants coming from one seed though…?

It happens quite a bit @anon34311147 you be surprised ive never had it to but i seen one on here im thinking but it might had been on another forum

Thats really amazing! Its like finding a 4 leaf clover practically! How can 2 plants come from 1 seed? How is this possible? I just pruned a leaf off one of my plants yesterday that was blocking a bud site and it had 11 spears growing from it! I thought they just went up to 9…?

@anon34311147 I too am in awe! Especially because my first grow (which I’m still curing) did not have this surprise. I’m also so worried because my first grow got HUGE so I definitely don’t want these two fighting with each other for space. I want everyone to grow in :sparkles:harmony:sparkles:

@Reed71 thank you so much for the clarification! I think I get it now. Cover the stem with some soil almost to the leaves to get her up properly? I can do that  I’m also going to spend some time on YouTube figuring out how to separate the twins without messing anything up. If you have any favorites to recommend, please let me know.

Thank you all so much! It’s so great to have a space to ask all of these questions.

Your welcome @Excited It can be done did it have two tap roots

They would both need to have a tap root to be able to separate them, right? I mean, if only one had a tap root then that would mean the other one would be dependent on the one with the tap root. If you take it away, it wont be able to propagate itself in time before it would die from the shock. I would think…?

Yea if it just one i would clip one of them off at top of soil

@Reed71 I only saw one tap root when I planted it which is why I was surprised when two popped. Do you think it’s possible another one formed under the soil? I’m hoping so but I’m not sure how to tell. To YouTube!
