New Grower Base Setup Example 2x4

Just wanted to give an example of a decent starting setup for our new growers. We have been expanding our base very well lately and I would like to save the new folk some work… 600.00 out the door at max price. workable down to 450 or so. No downgrade on lighting. This is just my opinion on what works for me. this is a LUNG ROOM controlled environment. Price ranges for all but the light are lower/mid pricing and quality. Sufficient for 2 years or so. Will pay itself in a harvest.
No nute or growing suggestions from me. Straight up Hardware.

First is tent. Fancy is for those who can afford. Basic is for those who just grow. This is an example of a perfectly functional tent. Tall for Sativa girls or straight up growers. Lst will be good for any strain. This will do 3 nicely trained girls easy.

Next are the basics. Fans/RH Meter/Venting. The rh/temp meter will probably be off a couple degrees and humidity either way. Bah well within range we need for general environment.

Now the Lynchpin HLG QB288 full spectrum board build at 300w rectangle for 2x4. Seed to harvest light. 54v LM301 diodes. Tunable driver. Dimmer.Hangers and power cord. HLG support and tuning of driver for boards. HLG support for build or 1 of our light guys. @dbrn32 and his type of folks :slightly_smiling_face:. Many specialists up here. This light build will flat out SLAY a 2x4. Detachable driver to be hung outside tent in summer and in tent in winter for extra climate control.
x3. I used these same boards a long time. Very good.
Predrilled slate.
Tunable driver. I had them tune for my 480 watt 550r. These are 54v. HLG runs higher voltage than the rest. Tunable to the 600w max output. Can run the boards hot with more watts but heat and lifespan can be affected.
Dimmer
Power cord IF needed.
Hangers

Connectors
Wires can be discussed with HLG as I highly suggest a call to them before a build. They might toss a super deal on a premade with the rectangle shape for a 2x4. 300w minimum. Better more than not enough.

Basic setup using passive intake and forced exhaust. this will turn tent air every minute. Fan is controllable allowing slow for humidity needs or high to dry it out.
Driver can be hung out/in or attached.
Circulating fan will strengthen limbs for heavier flower loads.
Top exhaust draw with passive intake at floor. Cold/hot air science. Lungroom typically has cold floor and air falls so good temp difference coming in vs. going out. Fans near the light and above cycles diode/driver heat out. Fast air exchange.
These tents will also do a nice SOG/SCROG. large yield per sqft.
Super easy access to plants. No crawling, wiggling.straining etc.
Space efficient for a room grow in a corner or a walk-in closet grow.
For first timers or first inside growers doing it for personal use this setup will produce more than you can smoke in between harvests. I myself can snatch a pound+ with no work. Dry. No training. 1 fimm 3 plants.
Grow style, hydro/coco/soil/organic soil are personal choices. All will work.
Nutes and testing equipment are also style dependent. I am Organic soil and use none of my meters at all.
I KNOW this is long but after considering we get the same requests for startup Knowledge I wanted somewhere we can just toss out starter kits. Pieced out with a VERY VERY solid light to be the anchor and fudging little stuff for startup costs.
Folks the startup Hydro/coco/soil/organic self assembled kits would be a blessing here also.
These being modular setups, upgrades are a click away for all but that light. That piece will last till service life is over. 7 years or so fired up. If can find an ES300V2/3 used that is your guy for heat. Run very cool.
I would like to keep it cohesive and try to fill in the blanks before the questions come.
Just hardware and grow gear in whole blocks.
Once again these are the basic needs and are enough to do any style of grow sans testing gear and growing needs.
Ty for looking and any suggestions/corrections/flames on my Cowboys or me are totally ok.
Flames on my drawing and stoned perception of squares and lines in the diagram…well…lets see you guys and gals eat 2 gummies and smoke some bowls while doing it
Happy growing.

Great write up buddy :muscle:t2:
Always helping :+1:t2:
When was your last MOTM?
I needa ck that
Crazy on the pricing :exploding_head:
My first hydro setup with 480 hps and gh 3 part was $1100
Literally a blow form plastic vessel, hydroton, nutes and light.
And they the one that said ALWAYS KEEP YOUR PH @ 6.5 :disappointed:
And that right there had me chasing my tail for 2 decades :joy::rofl::rofl::joy::rofl:

Bah. I am here cause I dig on helping people. Here and in real life. God gives me my rewards and kudos. Seeing new growers succeed tweaks my melon just fine… grin.

Pretty cool!

I would suggest that anyone looking to assemble their own light check in with someone here capable of verifying the boards, heatsink, and driver are all compatible together. I’m usually available to do this but there are others as well. People who are resourceful and have a little bit of mechanical or electrical inclination can usually find a decent amount of savings doing this.
