@Sayyes2MI Thanks for taking the time to give me your input! Have a good one man!
After I sent it I was thinking nitrogen as how fast they are growing. When you mentioned the brown spots it made me think of the cal-mag. I know being in Coco. You don’t want to stop giving the cal-mag.
U in raw coco or a prepped coco brand
@MeEasy I will start feeding a little more after I transplant them this weekend. We will see if it helps!
Cool @Sayyes2MI I have been feeding Calmag, but maybe I need to increase it. I have only been using 2ml per gallon during the early stages to keep my EC down.
I’ve never used coco but what I’ve read it pretty close to hydro in that you control the food more than in soil I’ve heard guys saying they feed multiple times per day.
@fano_man I am using Roots Organic prebuffered Coco-perlite mix. It comes supposedly ready to use. I didn’t do anything to prepare it before planting my seeds
@MeEasy I believe multiple feedings a day would start a little later in the growth cycle. During early veg, I have read that you should be careful about overfeeding. I could be wrong, I am a noob🤷
No sorry didn’t mean now I meant coco in general. I believe now they’re getting a little root bound which will look the same as hungry
Nah ur on point there. But a few presoak their medium in a light solution to walk the middle ground between over/underfeeding.
Coco is a calmag LEECH. If the brown spots or yellow blocks between veins begins, up ur amount. But that looks like regular yellowing. Kinda hungry, kinda roottight. But just fine. Ur transplanting soon nah?
Roots coco with perlite Is almost identical to coco loco which is a soiless media pretty good all round soil that has coco instead of peat moss (which is just broken down sphagnum moss)
Relatively comparable in ingredients but its not a raw coco and not really a true coco as a hydroponic grow u should follow soil rules imo
And I dump alot of calmag in every medium because I use alot of light cal mag demand goes up with light intensity for sure
Right on @MeEasy I am just waiting for my Coco-perlite mix to get here tomorrow then I will transplant
@PurpNGold74 Thanks! I will be transplanting tomorrow
@fano_man Wow! That is news to me, I was not aware. Thanks
Always read ingredients if you dont know what they contain Google em then you will know what your working with and how long your soil will carry you it has castings guano kelp pumice and light charge of starter nutes …so dont feed alot once you transplant … once you transplant do a watering with just water if u insist of pushing (like I do) I start off light in new soil and gradually add more I dont like depleting my soil I like to have it as a buffer for a lil bit till I get to full strength in veg veg to flower is a easy trasition if you use a completlle line of same manufacturer u have a cart with the whole system and it’s hard to mess up I use whole emerald harvest line with cal mag and sturdy stalk (silica)
also use hydroponic moonshine I havent had a burn toxicity or deficency since I started it… when you peice together bottles from multiple manyfactures you gotta pay attention to every ingredient you can easily got you nitrogen levels to high without paying close attention to bottle ingredientLot’s of good information @fano_man Much appreciated. I picked up the complete line of Botanicare nutes. We will see how good they work. I got them on a recommendation from a friend. I have been using the chart below.
Beutiful… there are several ppl who went botanicare as pick and choose I never sen whole line used but I hear good stuff it’s another tried and true brand I like systems that require more then 3 or 4 parts because there are LOTS of different classes of nutes to me and some need to be raised or lowered at different times if you only got 3 or 4 parts like Jack’s if you lower one … your lowering more then just a minimal amount of nutes you lowering quite a few each product u lower … they work but not for plants that are on high alert you know like I said more light bordering the 800ppf spread the higher your nute level can be and really needs to be to get fast growth and fire buds… when your on the less then max strength spectrum I feel buds lack in potency weight and taste and smell is really an other category to the grow… specifics… terp enhancers flavor enhancers… really got nothing to do with the plants rate of growth and weight flavor enhancers like the moon shine label I showed you all those ingredients are non micro or macro nutes your supposed to use it at a steady rate start to finish so the plant can pick up its terpine selection it can utilize with its Gene’s I’m not exactly sure how terpine levels broaden or strengthen I’m still learning to
Oh and make sure you are phing AFTER EVERY NUTRIENT MIX… your base mix should be separate from silica days …that’s what I do in drain to waste soil… silica will shoot your ph up… best to use it buy its self it’s easy to controll with minimal ph down… and usually base nutes as long as ur water isn’t to influential (ro) tap water can off your ph in a ph buffered system if you dobt have ph adjustment you need to now
