New grower and second grow journal. Gorilla Glue Autos

It was, I saw the tech working across the street on who knows what, by the time he left there was no phone or internet. This guy says he cut the wires and laid them very neat in the box, just never reconnected them

I will tag along too. If you are doing WWs. I would choose the 5 gallon pots as these are nice sized plants.

Great, the WW photos are in my other journal, and in 5Gl. grow bags. These here are Gorilla Glue Autos and had planned on 3Gal. bags. Just planted them in Coco Coir cups this morning

Got it. Sorry about that. Most of the GG I have seen are on the smaller sides. A 3 gallon would work for the. Here is the biggest thing to consider. 5 gallon pots are easier to water. And they don’t dry out as fast. a plus if it is warm there. I have 2 autos started that are on the smaller size. They should fall in the 4 - 5 oz range. Both will go in 3s

Lol, you read minds . I had decided this morning to try the 5gal bags as well. The tall WW Photos are between 6-7’ tall in 5 Gal. bags. The WW Autos did well in 3 Gal, but it is hot here now and the photos get thirsty long before the Autos.

How are you finding those peat pots?
They dry out really fast and take along time to breakdown I find them a bad option for our uses solo cups or little plastic pots work better I find.

Just baby’s! But they have probably almost got their tap root to the bottom, a couple more days.

Hey @Nicky , agree completely. My veggies sometimes would not come up fast enough, and after too many waterings they would fall apart, or if planting on a grow bag, the veggies seem to take longer to come up. These are Coco Coir cups someone else here suggested, and I will say that the roots are not bashful at all about growing out of the cup, sides, everywhere. Two days in the ground and they already have the beginnings of the first set of true leaves. hey, would you mind going to my other journal, will post link here, and look at post #713 and give me your thoughts on this? I almost starved the WW Photos it looks like. I want to hear what you think, and I will add that I recalibrated the Apera EC60 tds/ppm meter just in case, and it was right on.
Thanks

I am planning on using Bergman’s nutes for the seedling stage, trying to use them all, then switch over the FF trio. I was reading this morning that ideally I need a PH around 6.0 for Coco? And will I need other additives for the soil going forward? As in Cal-Mag and others? I am not planning on all the stuff they sell, just the basic trio. This will be more interesting as the first grow has gone almost on Autopilot with the FF soils, and I still tried to screw that up!!

I haven’t seen any issues with ph in coco staying between 5.8 and 6 for ph. You will definitely want a calcium supplement, calmag will do it. Probably want to pre charge your coco with it prior to using too.

Do you mean add some to the Coco/Perlite mix before transplanting? If so how much for a 5 Gallon grow bag? Thanks, all new now, feeding and PH numbers different from soil. I think it was you and someone else that suggested I give Coco a try.

Soak your coco in ph-ed water with a dose of cal-mag per gallon of water, for 24 hours before using it. Make sure it’s not sopping wet before you use it as well.

I can do that, thanks. I presume then add to the feed schedule as well?

That’s what I do, but like I said I might be adding it only every other feed or watering, but if if starts showing deficiency then I will bump it up to everytime.
