New grow just making sure lights and plants are okay

Okay yall since you help me so much i need help knowing when to flower. I have 4 1/2 week old white widow grown from seedlings on 18/6 lighting. when can i start flowering??

Whenever you want to. Space and light are the only restrictions.

Plus the plant has to be sexually mature. If it’s a photoperiod that means another 3 weeks or so.

okay sorry to be a noob but how do i know if its sexually mature?? what does photoperiod mean? sorry ive been smoking along time but a new grower

Basically there are three kinds of cannabis available:

Photoperiod feminized means that so long as the lighting schedule remains above 12/12 it will not flower. The feminized means it will flower

Autoflower feminized has Cannabis Ruderalis genes inserted which turns the plant from photoperiod to clock driven (they have a life cycle measured by time instead of light duration)

Regular would denote a normal cannabis plant that could mature into a male or a female plant. Generally the most robust of the plants.

i bought feminized seeds

Guessing by the light schedule that they were photoperiod. Not autoflower.

And feminized is not quite the same as female. Growers trick the plant into producing seeds that won’t produce male flowers but not as robust a plant as a true female.

i dont see those things on my plant so i should wait right

The thing is; until they are sexually mature you can do anything you want to them and they WON’T flower. Once sexual maturity though and that’s a different kettle of fish. Give em time and I would suggest doing some training of the plant. Look up ‘supercrop’ and ‘Top and FIM’. Look at some journals. See what challenges others are having which hopefully will inform your way forward.
