What are your thoughts on watering now? I’m 2 days away from it being exactly 8 weeks into flowering:
This is also the microscope I use. But it doesn’t take pictures like yours.

You know for years we never checked the trichomes, we just used the force!

I also have one of those… works ok! Best if you can snip off a specimen and place it on a table

I have the same one, it’s not great for pictures, but you can clearly see trichomes by eye with that. Works good enough for me.

I’d go water only at this point, I always do for last couple weeks.

You got suckered into one of those to eh hahah I bought one and then tossed it. Hard as heck to see through to ugh.
Show us some updated pictures and we will give you a better idea. Whole plant in dark with flash on and zoomed right into the buds with flash and with normal lighting no flash.
8 weeks sounds good but each plants differnt and genetics play a roll as does environment so before I agree with @Hellraiser let’s see what you got.

But I know your experienced enough you don’t need to show others your tricombs so for you looking is good enough a loupe would work for you to, I suggest the USB microscopes so people get an easier way as well as a way to show and learn to train their eye.
@Cannabian haha I know I did that on my first grows when we were growing 30 northern lights out in the Okanagan, dang those were big plants.

okay water only. Nice. I was giving them about 9gallons total to all of them; and that keeps them good for about 3 days. Should I continue as is? Or maybe start with more water as of next water day?

Use enough water to get a good runoff, want to wash away any built up nutes and salts from the soil.

Yeah, I got pretty good at telling when a bud was ready just by looking at it. Even with a close look at the trichomes and everything being seemingly perfect, Ive managed to grow some bunk. Im quite happy to report the Balkhi is fantastic! Far better than I anticipated… the weight was not as heavy but the buds are less dense. I suspect this is a desirable trait for cannabis intended for hash making? Seems reasonable to have a more open bud structure so the goodness falls out easier?

Okay lights are on, and I’m working on the pictures with lights on, these are the ones I took with lights off as requested. Girls look thirsty again. Gonna water tonight. Plain water only.

i threw mine away too. i never saw anything out of it.
i followed your grow because i have the same light. i had to move my plants around 2 times a week so they got equal time. the ones i had next to a wall got the most light and i kept rotating them away. i still feel like i had a few auto seeds in that grow.

Well you got a good harvest coming up that’s for sure congrats.
They look at the point I would want to be checking the buds tricombs, the pistils are showing they are at the point you need to check tricombs to get an accurate reading.
