New Grow infinity self watering pots

Blue Dream and Gold Leaf here 19 days from germination. 3 gallon pots, 6” input and 6” exhaust fans. Spiderfarmer SE7000 with UV in climate controlled room. Thanks to @Lostgirl and @Growdoc @midwestguy helping others I have been able to finally understand where I was going wrong. This grow I am using self watering bases. Of the 9 plants germinated I managed to almost kill 1 and stunted another due to not paying attention. These plants have only seen plain water only used every 4 days. 7/9 have roots at bottom of pot now. I have the FF trio, recharge and voodoo and bud candy for flower. Planning to give first nutes when basins are ready to be refilled. Used a gallon of recharge for the last top watering on the girls. I only PH to 7 after learning last grow that my ph run off was 5.3. My PPM was 5ppt.
After observing you guys helping another who had all the problems I had I was able to see what I needed to do. I hope you guys can help guide me to finally not failing and able to get more that 1 ounce out of a plant. They are already looking better than my last 3 grows.

My house water filters out magnesium. Water out of the tap 7.8ph and 150ppm. With this in mind when should cal-mag be introduced? I used to use one gallon with 5ml cal-mag and spread it between the 9 plants. I was never soaking the plants only using 1 to 2 gallons every 4 days. I’m thinking now I was underwatering them and locking out nutrients. Hence here we are at the self watering bases.

150 is ok but what are those 150 parts?

Yeah my house water is spring water , around 8 and 200 ppm but it tastes awful , I filter it and its fine . Probably the two century old pipes lol .

The tap water is 150ppm. The runoff was ppt. I managed to save those plants after finding the topic of @Metalheadfred that you guys helped him with.

Just spring well water that was filtered for high magnesium that was eating my copper pipes.

I have not had the water tested since having the filter installed years ago.

Likely there’s some calcium in there, you might want to give them a bit of Epsom where the mag was filtered out.

150 ppm water is not bad at all these days. With a magnesium filter I’d stick more to Epsom salts as @Growdoc stated. What nutrients are you running?

I have the FF trio and FF cal-mag. For Flower I picked up voodoo juice and bud candy.

1 teaspoon of epson dissolved in a gallon of water per plant? Best to do alone or can it be mixed with the nutes and poured in the basin?

I usually do it alone, but you can add it if you mix very well , one ingredient at a time until well dissolved..

With FF you’re definitely going to want that magnesium. Add the epsom on water only days.

This is a root expander, not a flowering nute!

Day 24, All plants working on first drink of nutes. Filled basin with 1 Gallon water with recharge, 10ml FF Big Bloom and 5ml Grow Big. 550ppm ph 7.0 All plants roots reached the bottom and feeding well. #3 Has almost finished the first gallon. Plan to put 5ml FF cal-mag to 1 gallon water PH 6.8. The remaining plants will follow same steps when they deplete the current water supply. For future talk the plants are from left to right 1-3, middle 4-6 and back 7/9. This marks the first time in years that I have not had yellowing starting around this time. Judging by how fast the first plant used the water there is no doubt that I was underwatering the plant and never letting them dry out. Here is the progress so far. All suggestions welcome to improve my process as I am making it up as I go. @Growdoc @BobbyDigital

Are you adding nutrients to the water in this order? If so, you’ll want to add recharge after you’ve added the other nutes and ph’d the solution.

Ok I will make the adjustment. Ty
