Okay well it said some of those things

Well that’s strange. I’ll fix it

It works now. Check it out

@garrigan62 awesome I’m set to watching now. How soon should I put my baby Natasha is what I’m calling her, after black widow :joy::rofl:, in my soil I mixed up? I know you said to put it in regular soil to begin with. And @dbrn32 can I just use my hlg light to help the baby grow or is that going to be too strong?

Well for one thing, I have no idea what you used nor how much of it so I really can’t say.

Just dim it and run it higher, it will do fine.

@garrigan62 I’m using your soil recipe
8 1.5 cubic ft bags of Roots Organics soil or a high-quality organic potting soil with coco fiber and mycorrhizae (i.e., your base soil)

5 lbs bloom bat guano
5 lbs blood meal
3 lbs rock phosphate
¾ cup Epson salts
½ cup sweet lime (dolomite)
½ cup azomite (trace elements)
2 tablespoons powdered humic acid

This one here is broken down for smaller grows

AND HERE IS THE SOIL I’LL BE USING.

Soil Recipe to be mixed with 1 to 1/1/2 cu ft of base soil

We’ll see how my current soil recipe goes. I might want to add some of these other ingredients in.

@Nicky,

Welcome to ILGM and our ever growing community of awesome members

Ya, some of this stuff isn’t so cheap, but your reward can be very rewarding at the same. As the old saying goes > It’s not the pot that’s additive, it’s the growing that is …lol
We can lead you to the things you’ll need, but it’s up to you to shop around for the price that you can afford.

I feel like the amount of money I invested into growing is going to save me a lot in the long run. An ounce around here costs 250 dollars so i feel like I saved me a lot of money I just don’t realize it yet :grin:

I’ve been here for a couple months but ty for the warm welcome =)

Yeah nothing’s cheap these days
I’m just from the great white north so limited. Supply and increased price. Potting soil or medium nutes is the way for me.

I can get solid hippy grown stuff for 3$Gram but their selection is so lacking

My only words of wisdom - all learned here in this fantastic forum - is that good monitoring and maintenance of ph and ppms of the water or nutrient solution going into your soil, as well as measuring and adjusting based on the pH and pons of the water runoff that comes out the bottom really sets your plant up for success.

@Nicky,

I take it your in Alaska. I lived the way back in the early 80s so I know what your saying.
But you hang in there and we’ll help you in every way that we can.
There are so many helpful fokes here it’s unreal.
So if you need any help you just ask away , ok ?

Alberta, close I’m. Canadian.
Oh definitely I’m on here all day right now reading and replying. Thanks again

Then your all set then. Awesome

Anyone have a recommendation on a meter to test my ph water runoff. I don’t know how I missed ordering that :man_facepalming:
