Anyone have one of these lights yet?
Never heard of it, do you have specs?
They’re new. I’m sure you can lookup the specs if you want them
They seem to be a bit on the pricey side. I noticed they use mostly OSRAM diodes and not Samsung like the premium brands HLG, Spider farmer and a few others. Couldn’t find the light spectrum chart “intensity v wavelength” , PPFD either which is a red flag.
I recently bought a new LED light during the 420 sales this year. I picked up a refurbished HLG650Rspec for my 5 x 5 grow space for $541 delivered to my door.
From what I can tell these lights replaced the Kind X series which were really good lights. Appears Gorilla bought Kinds lights then made some changes.
Very vague info on them…I’d spend on something proven. HLG, ACI any others with the Samsung diodes. But hey happy growing!
I’ll take that as a no.….btw, Kind’s lights were proven
I asked a simple question….is anyone using the new Gorilla Xi series lights?
I’m not looking for light references here. Please only respond if you’re actually using one of these lights and have some actual real world input on them
I was looking at these too for another tent. Seems to be the Kind X420 with the ir and uv split into channels 2 and 3.
Basically looks like a 320w light with built in ir and uv instead of having to add supplemental lights. Still a bit pricey though and no listed specs for the amount of ir or uv but assuming about 50w each. I might buy one just for data if someone doesn’t put out some PPFD data soon.
Yea it’s weird, first time I’ve seen a light w/out specs posted by the manufacturer. The only thing listed is hanging height is 6-12” from canopy.
I’m thinking this light was a little rushed out the door. I was saving up for a Kind X750 to put in my 4x4 but before I had enough to purchase one they all sold old everywhere online and these lights started showing up. I’m sure the lights are good considering Kind and Gorilla both make solid products but i don’t think I would trust the automation during flower over my analog timer
