It’s a legal state and I’m having a blast growing and smoking. Just a 34yo dude with chronic pain/rare male fibro. Anyone else on this forum hail from the desert as well? Just curious.

Yes, but the laws are worded in a way that pretty much anyone can grow.

Very true. It’s wierdly expensive where I live so growing was my only option too.

So, my brother lives within the 25 mile circle around dispensaries that you can’t grow in. Is this not the case? He’s under the impression he would have to purchase a commercial grower’s license.

NRS 453A.200, subsection 6, states: "Notwithstanding any other provision of law and except as otherwise provided in this subsection, after a medical marijuana dispensary opens in the county of residence of a person who holds a registry identification card, including, without limitation, a designated primary caregiver, such a person is not authorized to cultivate, grow or produce marijuana. The provisions of this subsection do not apply if:

  a. All the medical marijuana dispensaries in the county of residence of the person who holds the registry identification card close or are unable to supply the quantity or strain of marijuana necessary for the medical use of the person to treat his or her specific medical condition;

  b. Because of illness or lack of transportation, the person who holds the registry identification card is unable reasonably to travel to a medical marijuana dispensary; or

  c. No medical marijuana dispensary was operating within 25 miles of the residence of the person who holds the registry identification card at the time the person first applied for his or her registry identification card.

20 min and I can be in 3 different states and 2 of those are recreational marijuana states… :wink:

Yep, Northern Nevada. I grow for my son, who has a medical card. If you have a medical card you can always find a reason to grow. But, the grow regulations make no sense, which has made most of my local cops give up on hassling personal grows.
