Also, when you say part a and part b, does that me a and b for both veg and bloom( 2 parts each phase)? And what does the silica do? Thanks for the help!
Jack’s 3-2-1 program uses Part A: 5-12-26 and Part B: 15-0-0. Epsom adds Mg and S. Silica is the only supplement to the mix.
Part A: 3.6 grams/gallon
Part B: 2.4 grams/gallon
Epsom: 1.2 grams/gallon
Silica as recommended. Silica is always added first.
This mix can be used from sprout to harvest. I run Autopots in coco and don’t do anything like flushes or water only til harvest. It is a dry nutrient line so you will need an accurate scale to measure.
Silica is necessary for plant health and strength as well as for trichome production (the trichome stalks are mainly silica).
I do a modified 3-2-1 program: right at the flip I do a 2-2-2-1.2 mix with the 1.2 being MKP (Monopotassium Phosphate). This provides an additional jolt of P and K. After 3 weeks the mix is returned to the original 3-2-1 program until harvest.
So here’s a helpful chart for hydroponics ph with cannabis.
5.6ph-6.2ph is what 9 out of 10 hydroponic growers will run with 5.8ph being the sweetspot.
The “ph perfect” technology claims that there nutrients is bio-available way below and above that range, i think their claim is anything between 4ph and 11ph or something like that.
But I totally can’t wrap my brain around how it works as it goes against every thing I’ve read and experienced, but I’m not a biologists
I use these.
Does not get any more simple then a tried and true 1 part nutrient powder.
General Hydroponics is the OG of nutrients and works great.
Check out my journal and see how good it works
Here’s a few updated pictures. I’m noticing new pistils growing I believe so hopefully I have more time than I think and they will start to put some weight on
Since those are autoflower they could be showing more ruderalis… Which looks more like that.
If not that, more/better light. What lights are you using?
The buds are getting very sticky and smelly. I’m currently using vivosun 100w light but recently ordered hlg 200rspec. Should be here this week. I probably won’t set it up until this plant is done; this was my “getting the feel for it” plant.
By ruderalis do you mean low in THC? It’s my first time hearing that so I had to research and that seems to be what I find about ruderalis strain. Low THC, high CBD. However today’s genetics contain higher THC than the original ruderalis strain. Am I on the right track?
I believe you are correct. I grow autos and typically have 20% THC potency. However a Banana purple auto recently won
the. Highest THC content in the world for a auto. Over 30%.
Ruderalis is a type of cannibas that has the auto flower properties/genes.
Sometimes when growing autos, one parent will show more than others.
Ok I’m smelling what you’re selling
@Treeman If you’re interested in figuring out how potent your buds are once finished… There’s tCheck3.
Home THC tester.
Well here’s my first harvest, on 420!!
I learned what foxtailing is. I spent good money to hopefully avoid that on the next go round. I learned lst or another form of training is NECESSARY. The modified bucket lid is what I’ve come up with for lst in a decade bucket system. Lid can be removed for res changes without plant being disturbed. Drilled a few holes, zip ties, and a little bit of silicone gasket maker. We shall see how it works.
