Sorry I haven’t answered you, health problems again !

I do not really have a recipe for soil as such, I just add a few things like nitrogen bat guano and earthworm castings. I am also in the minority that uses black gold organic soil and have had great luck with it. Everyone else, or most, seem to have problems with it. It has been a very forgiving soil for me and I love using it.

Of course, not a problem, I’m still on my first grow but I try to be as helpful and informative as I can be. I also read as much as I can about every single thing I think of, experiments, things I want to try etc. But feel free to tag me and I’ll help you with whatever I can.

Hi @MBgrower - Promix is a brand of growing media by Premier Tech Horticulture. It is peat moss based and is the base for this recipe which everything else is being added to.

When I said 1 Bale Promix, I was referring to the amount of Promix to use. I should have said 1 Bale of Promix or 1 3.8 cu ft bag of Promix.

Note: There are many different Promix formulas to choose from. I prefer Promix HP CC (high porosity chunk coir). You could also use Sunshine mix #2 instead of Promix.

Thank You @GrowManFitz for explaining to me a little more about Promix , I’m going to the gardening center today so I’ll definitely be on the look out for this Product. Although this is very new to me and I’m very worried about the transplant I do feel more comfortable about the process. Thank you again for sharing your knowledge, it’s GREATLY appreciated

That’s sounds good to me @EarlyPearl !!! I put all my coffee grounds and eggs shells in my compost pile and a lot of banana peels. I’m very into fitness and every morning I eat 3 boiled eggs and popped out plus my husband takes one every other day so I have put egg shells in my compost , lol , plus I put the mornings coffee grounds in my compost as well , I heard awhile back that the grounds were good for plants , it’s funny that you mention that because my husband was just asking why “THE HELL” do I put shells and grounds in the bucket for compost, lmao !!!
