First run so just a little scared to do anything but I had someone suggest on a previous post that I snip two of the leaves pointed out by red (I’m just going to let the cotyledons do their thing)
I would keep the leaves if there isn’t anything wrong with them. Your girl needs the leaves to do the work.
Cots have done their thing. They’re depleted. No need to take the starter leaves. Just pinch them off once they yellow. Appears you may need to get a fan on her to introduce some plant wiggle and strengthen that stem. Or add more soil and burry up to the cots.
Can you turn that light up some? Or move it closer? internodal spacing seems a bit much, she’s stretching for more light.
What lighting are you using Growmie
I agree with others, I’d leave them for now and
Suggestion was from me. If you all look at that stem and see how thin it as at ground level you will understand my suggestion. By removing the leaves, which by the way I know are not bad, then the grower can finish filling the grow bag and support the plant and let it root from the thin buried stem. its half the thickness at ground level than it is at the second set of true leaves. The node spacing between the ground to the cots to the first leaves shows it was under low light at first. If the thin trunk isn’t supported in some way its going to fail at some point. Burying it will provide better uptake of water for the plant sooner than waiting for it to thicken. If not this solution it needs to be staked soon.
@BobbyDigital You basically say the same thing, I just went a bit further saying bury it up past the first true leaves which will soon yellow and die anyway. The pink arrow was my suggested soil level.
I like leaving a little wiggle room to add more medium if needed to add strength from stretching.
The bag shows lots of room for adding of.
As mentioned above, having a cleaned node under the soil promotes rooting there very fast.
I actually have a fan it’s just a little shitty should I angle it more down then I’d guess
Temu light:skull: but nah I can’t afford shit it’s 100w
We are all here to help no matter the situation. Holidays are coming up and things are only getting pricier…
I know growing gets expensive and for first timers it’s nerve racking.
You can always tag me and I’ll help the best I can with what you have.
What soil are you using?
Any idea of the PH of your water? Do you have RO water or clean dehumidifier water?
Do you have nutrients already? Do you plan on using any?
Is this an auto or photo?
I got some steam distilled water and tap water non ph-ed but I trust it and know people in the area with success from tap water I’m trying to get money for nice nutes rn and it’s bag seed but as far as I’m assuming it’s photoperiod and too be safe I’m treating it as one
Oh and for soil I have ocean forest fox farm soil
Perfect, ocean forest is a good soil and will feed for the 3-6 weeks depending on factors.
Distilled water will be your best option.
