Hello all!
Late last night my veg light burned out. I caught it and have a temporary fix at the moment but need help choosing a new light. My veg area is a closet that is approximately 2’x3’x8’. Looking at HLG 100, 135 or maybe even the 65. All help greatly appreciated!!
@dbrn32 is the lighting expert… but your area is almost the exact size as mine.
I got the HLG 320 XL, but @dbrn32 said that it was overkill… I like the idea of dialing it back.
He would likely tell you an HLG 288 V1 (cheaper, if available) or a V2 if not…
Or a custom DIY build if you are up to it.
I just ordered my 1st light, so I am merely parroting what I think I heard.

I would shoot for 4000k 135 kit.
That was my preference but wanted to check in and hear from you . Thanks buddy, gonna go order it now.
I just purchased the hlg 135 4k kit myself …it arrives friday but boy i can tell you that everyone said i made the right choice so i would highly recommend it.
Or you can get the same kit and then both tents would have the ability to go seed to harvest. I use a 3500k kit in one of my 3x3’s and its great for veg and flower
Could you help me with a site on where I can get a light for my 3x3tent. I want to get a qb or some DIY project that won’t break me. I don’t have alot of money but I need a new light that will go from seed to harvest and something that won’t put out alot of heat if possible.

HLG Quantum Board 260w Kit in 3500k
I thought the 260 only came in 3k and 4k. When I purchased the 260xl 3k and 4k were all that I saw available. Thanks buddy, I will look.
I’ve had mine for a year and a half… actually I’m pretty sure I was one of the first members on here to get the QBs. They might not have the v2 kits in 3500k like v1, which is a shame because I think it gives the best of both worlds

If you build you will need to use multiple vendors to get everything. If you’re looking for a kit, try horticulture lighting group or growerslights.
My HLG 320 XL is 3500k… maybe more $$ and more light than needed, but then you can dial it back to the best efficiency level… right?
You can adjust them to how your plants are responding.
What would you guys suggest for me on getting a light for my 3x3tent looking to get a kit for less then $200 or a DIY for $200 or less. I’m looking for a seed to harvest one please. I appreciate any of the time anyone takes out of there life to help me with this.
