A friend of mine is trying to grow some ILGM auto flowers outside and isn’t doing too well. Can I get any help IDing what’s going on with the leaves, pest or deficiency?
I’m not seeing any pest signs, some splash burn from top feeding maybe?? The lower yellowing leaves are normal for this growth stage. Where is this auto being grown (region)
How much light is this little lady getting? Looks very shaded…

Florida, knowing him he probably just threw them in the ground and hoped for the best
I don’t have any experience with autos so I don’t know what to expect
Pretty sure @Budbrother is from Fla and might can help not sure what part though
I’ve grown my fair share of autos, they need a great start the 1st 4-6 weeks to have any success…environment, nutes and lighting need to dialed in from the start
That’s Ca def. The plant is singling out the spots of highest Ca deposits in the leaves. Those white spots will develop into yellow and then brown.
Gypsum would work, but it’ll take 2-3wks to do so. By then the issue is gonna be outta control. Calmag would be the obvious fix here.
Hey man sorry to bother you,
but do you have a journal I can follow?
@Budbrother
Thanks for your interest. Not currently growing, but click my avatar, then go down to topics. I should be back up and running in January or February, and I’ll resume posting on Crimson Eyes Set to Glow or on the KNF topic.
Thanks man, will check them out🤙🏻
Agree with @OGIncognito …It looks like a stunted Auto…Ive had my fair share of them this past season…The few seasons prior no problem…Ive heard as much from other Auto growers about this happening this year so who knows? Cosmic shift in the earth aliment… . and yes you need to start them off well before transplanting them ,If you transplant at all? Sorry to say but just tell your friend to take care of that lil Bonsai and finish her off right and enjoy the couple fattys you’ll get and try again next time…
