Need a Mentor for Jacks

Except when they grow in the wild naturally where they occur in the tropics. They always choose places with ample moisture

That’s what I thought also.

Sorry if this is repeated guys. I meant to edit my post but seems like it is a empty space so sorry if this repeated.
@Mosca @dbrn32 guess my wording is not proper. Need no, but the benefits from using it, to not for 20$ imo opinion is just foolish to skip. Healthy plants without, sure i suppose, healthier with? Id bet my paycheck thats a yes. Would be a good clone experiment but im not willing to risk the plants outcome for a cheap bottle of silica.

I would suggest a Blue Lab. I’ve been using mine for a little over 2 years. Extremely accurate and very reliable :love_you_gesture:

From what I’ve understood is the coco will rob the calcium and magnesium from the nute solution leaving little to none left over for your plants to use. When you buffer w cal/mag your essentially feeding the coco cal/mag so its tummy is full and it won’t continue to eat it out of your nute solution.
Bunch of sciencey reasons why that i don’t fully understand. Something about positive charges and double positive charges. Its interesting reading if you like being confused

Nevermind i think i understand what you were getting at. I don’t know why you’d use cal/ mag along side jacks. My brain was stuck in buffering

Amazon for me Brother :love_you_gesture:

Glitch I will be ordering jacks today, I am growing with organic fert right now, and adding cal mag because IM in Coco. I am curios at what point ( in late flower) do I cut out the Cal mag and only feed water? Just to be clear…

Feed calcium and magnesium from start to finish, I water feed only the last 2 weeks leading up to harvest

Ok, please excuse my ignorance but i looked last night with a (Mag Glass) and trichomes are just coming out. I’m not sure if I’m at the 2 week point yet? sigh…

I was told Molasses can still be used, what about seaweed? should I shelf seaweed extract at this point?

I don’t know anything about organics. I run jacks in coco. I only use calmag when rehydrating the bricks of coco. Soak it in a double strenght. After that once i start feeding its just jacks a+b+epsom. Not quite full strenght.( I tend to find it a little strong for my liking). I mix nutes for 4 gallons but mixed into 5 gal water.
Calcium is gotten through calcium nitrate (part b) magnesium from epsom salts.

My suggestion would be to keep it simple…less is more. I use Jacks and only add silica and a once a week beneficial microbe like TPS Billions, Growers recharge is also great. Post some pics on your trichome and flower question :love_you_gesture:

I would estimate they’re between 2-3 weeks away. Nice buds by the way :love_you_gesture:

I would feed nutrients for 1 last feeding. Are you in soil or coco? And what were the last run off numbers :love_you_gesture:

In Coco. Graysin helped me in Veg my plant was having issues and he got me on track with the Cal Mag. Seems like it helped, i still have some purple stems i guess that doesnt go away. And With the jacks program I’ll never need the cal mag again. Can that stuff help my other type of plants in soil? or should i just dump it?
