I order the six pound kits on eBay and add silica @1ml/gallon around second week from seed.
it seems the Jacks on ebay is less expensive for some reason? I Silica seems important ive heard it a few times while researching jacks any kind you recommend?
Silica is necessary using coco and jacks. Any brand will work. Alot of us use armor si. More out there tho.
I use GH Armor Si.
What is the differnce if any between the ebay stuff and the Store/ and amazon. Ebay seems cheap!
My brother bought jacks on ebay once when it came nothing about it looked rite we didnāt use it. Cheaper isnāt always better nor is more expensive.
Jacks from growinggreenmidotcom is best prices that im aware of. Ebay is repurposed 25lb bags broke down. 120$ for 25lb a and 25lb b together. Last a extremely long time. They got the kilo bags too for 20 bucks i believe. Ebay may be cheaper but rather have genuine authorized dealer to be sure of what im getting
I know your rite
Dont do amazon and such. Our card made it there once, not by our choice.
i have the scale ,and ph meter, looking for a ec pen.
Isnāt one of the biggest reasons for using jacks snd coco, is you no longer have to use those other products like cal mag? No silca. No sledge hammer.
That was just one of @Hellraiser points he mentioned never needing to use those again.
You still need silica using jacks with coco.
Its an option for strengthening the plant. Is it a necessity? No.
If Jacks. Ieā¦JR Peters fertilizers thought it was a necessity, they would incorporate that cheap ingredient to their mix. They were selling to farmers long before most of was in diapers. Jmo
I agree, you can grow healthy plants in coco without any silicate. Itās easy enough to use and cheaper than buying ph up, so thatās what use to bring my solution into range.
I think itās necessary to buffer coco with calmag. With my last two grows I had deficiencies due to cal mag lock out. This grow everything is looking good using calimagic. "The cation exchange sites in unbuffered coco can pull nearly all the Ca and Mg out of a nutrient solution.
Part B is cal nitrate, part A 6.3 mag.

yea i have the green apera for PH. I heard I dont have to spend so much for an ec meter?
Why would you need cal mag when youāre using calcium nitrate and epsom salt? Thatās weird
