Hey guys I’m finally getting around to posting my grow journal and promise to keep everyone updated. So, now they are all in soil sprinkled in on their peat pellets since they were getting bigger. They have 3 100w 5000K 1650 lumen lights and a fan to circulate air with random water around for humidity. Now temp is about 75°F n the humidity is almost 50% they popped out of the dirt about 2weeks ago now and as I said in my introduction post they have been to hell and back n I’ve made a lot of mistakes n learned a lot already as well. Any and all help and advice are welcome. This is my very first grow and they surprised me so now I want to take good care of them or at least better care. Lol thank you all.
Looks like you may have a PH problem. Your best bet is to fill in a support ticket.

I’m not an expert, but it looks like you have some “stretching” goin on, then need to be as close as safely possible to their light source, without getting too close or they could be hurt. How far is the light from the seedlings? You want the nodes to be packed in there tight, please correct me if I’m wrong. That is what I can see that is standing out to me. I hope this helps.

You are correct, lights are a little far. Or at least looks like they were at some point. In the pic it looks only a few inches. The support ticket will be helpful.

I kind of see maybe a little bit of over-watering going on there too with all the yellowing leaves.
That and if his soil has additives in it to that could be contributing.

What kind of soil are you using?
How often and how are you watering your plants? They seem wet. You should let the soil dry out between watering.
I think maybe you might want to start doing some reading in the forums on some of the techniques for growing.
I will let some of the others chime in here, but I don’t think you have sufficient lighting and you need to be measuring the ph of your water.
And @robnewgrower33 please don’t get discouraged. You have a little catching up to do and they are gonna be just fine, but you have some homework to do! lol
PS How old are your girls as of today?
Well there you go you, got to get your pH to 6.5 ( pH measuring method needed ) and you got to get your lights close or use stronger lights and everything will straighten out for you most likely ? …a mild Breeze from small fan will help strengthen up those stalks too

I am using jiffy natural and organic seed starting mix. I know my lights sucked before. They were not bright enough and waaaay too hot 90-100°f. I just got new lights today the info I put on the lights are the current lights but my girls have only been under these new lights about 6hrs as of now and I water them like every 3days or so. Whenever the soil looks dry and the sides of the peat pots are not moist. I am working on getting a pH meter n the girls are bout 2weeks old today that being two weeks ago something green popped out of the peat pellet. This is how they look right right now. Lol.
oh ok, now I remember you @robnewgrower33 you are right you have made a lot of progress. It could be the pics, but it looks like the peet pots are absolutely saturated. I am using them too and when I water, I water very slowly and as soon as I see the pot getting wet I stop watering.
Let me know on how much water you are giving.
ph meter as soon as possible or get some distilled water from the grocery store till then. I would spread those pots out a bit and let the air get between them
Do you have a fan? I think it would help you a lot if you had some fresh air blowing around.
I agree with @bob31, the pellets look way to saturated. Oh and a fan, now it doesn’t need to be very strong though, since these are just little girls right now. You’ll be alright here. You’re gonma.make it brother, I’m sure that what he meant by that just clarifying

@bob31 @Hawkeye_diesel After reading your comments I can answer you and say I am most certainly overwatering them unfortunately but now that I know to water super slow I should be able to remedy the problem after they dry out. lol. I have been giving them nestle pure life bottled water for now since I dont have any way of measuring ppm or ph of tap water at the moment. I also have a fan on low on them at all times for air flow. I also took your advice and put some space between pots. I forgot to mention before but I have them on a 19on/5off light schedule.I have a couple of questions though, what am I looking for in good meters for ph and ppm and once I get them how is it that I am going to want to utilize them for my grow? also, when should I be thinking about nutes and how should I go about introducing them? thanks in advace for all your advice, opinions, and wisdom. Very helpful thus far.
Here is a pic of mine. I watered very slowly this morning and as soon as I got water out the bottom I stopped. This pic was taken about 10 minutes later and you can see that parts of the pot are still dry.
Nutrients… Look at the bag of soil you are using and reply back with what it contains. Does it have nutrients in it?
Also the fan is it close enough that the leaves on the plants are twitching a little bit?
You want to adjust the lights as close as possible so that your plants get max light. To be sure your lights aren’t too close put your hand over the top of each plant and hold it there for 10 seconds and if it’s too hot for your hand it’s too hot for your plants. Also the lights may include directions telling how far to keep them.
OK, that should cover everything except the meters. I will post that in a few minutes from my laptop.

You also need to buy pH UP and DOWN
If you have a hydroponics store in your area they will most likely have all of that as well.
That Nestle water is good. You and your family should drink it. Its a little pricey for watering MJ plants. I think they tout that as glacier melt water?

OK so thank you again for all the info and I am most definitely over watering. Lol. Mine are still too wet and I last watered over 30hrs ago. So just going to let them air out n dry off for a day or so still. The bag on my soil says that it’s “60%-70% sphagnum peat moss, vermiculite, coir pith and lime for pH adjuster” I’m using the jiffy natural and organic seed starting mix found at Walmart. The leaves on my plant are more than twitching. It’s like a breezy day should I lower the fan or move it a little? Or is that OK for them?
And about the water, it is what we drink and that’s why I just used it for my plants. Lol

Will, the question is whether we need to think about nutrients in the near future?
The fan is good as the motion of the fan will make the stems grow stronger and help things dry out. I wouldnt add anymore water until those things are quite a bit dryer.
Those are small pots, but the pots themselves should be bone dry and the soil should be dry down into the pot about a half inch or so. Any dampness, let them sit a bit longer until the are pretty dry, including the bottom of the pots.
Your good for now or untill they start vegg. this is perfect cause when you start vegg you can leave out the the jiffy and organic starting mix
and stick with everything else.
Get worm castings and some bat guno and fish emuision liquid and lime. Thats it no nutrients needed just add water every 3rd day. Don’t believe me…ok click this link

Do the cheap meters for ph and ppm last a good amount of time? I thought the probes would get out of calibration much quicker than let’s say a blue lab growers toolbox kit for 180$
I can’t answer that. I would guess you are probably right. I just figured I would get him started for now. I think we’re working with a bit of a budget here. And I was too so thats what I went with what is good now/ newbie on a budget solution.
and the newbie on a budget solution I know to much about. If they gave degrees Id get a phd.
