@Poolgirl your doing a great job, just been reading along. The advice above is spot on. Don’t worry about to much humidity when plants are young and establishing roots they get most of there water from there leaves so your are killing right now. Download photone app that will help with lights, I’m right behind you just transplanted my 3 girls this weekend. They were 2 weeks from sprout, I run autos trying 3 gallon pots this time, save space, soil and $
Will 100% humidity ruin my carbon filter or inline fan. I didn’t have the inline fan on, the clip fan on either. Sigh. The plants were soaked and light was on. Will this harm them?
No need to have your carbon filter on now. There should be no smell. Fastest way to drop your humidity is turn ur in-line fan on, I run my on lowest setting, just to help circulate air. Only problem with to much humidity is you migh run into pools of water that could led to mold or bacteria. Also could damage equipment if not water proof. I try to stay in the 70-80 range first month or 2. But I do autos little different from photos
I don’t think you have anything to worry about with the humidity and light. You kept the intensity low and definitely would have seen the results of light burn. If anything the added RH was helping the roots by absorbing the moisture through their leaves. @Kingkupa gave you some pointers, I never use my filter until the smell gets out and the neighbors might can get a whiff and mine are outside my tent.
Yup, that was it, everything was off including the fans and light. I looked in the window and all I saw was a giant cloud. Hahaha. I appreciate all the help. I have the fans set at 1 and turned the humidifier on the lowest setting.
The carbon filter is hooked to the inline fan via tubing and I don’t want to mess with the “rigging” system.
Should I pull the smaller of the two GG4? Would that help with the outcome or just let them go? My husband said to leave it alone.
Live and learn I guess.
I don’t know about moving them around depends on your light , few things I’m no pro or expert like some but when they are small I run my light 24/7 I will not cut back tell I get at least to pre flower, but like said I run autos. Then I do 20 on 4 off, Not for sure what you have autos or photos ? Leaving a fan on is great helps strengthen your girls up for latter. With this being your first grow do you have an actual ph pen or ppm meter. Not to be mean but those green soil probes are no good. Don’t feel bad a lot of us have wasted money on them. Also I have never grown 2 plants in same pot so don’t know how that will go exactly. But so far you are heading in the right direction keep up the good work and keep us posted
@Mefis,
I felt wearing a Seahawks shirt yesterday too. Ha, I guess no team can win them all. Tom Brady missed the memo a few years there…
@Poolgirl,
I think your seedlings are doing well. They made it past cotyledons. I have found my seedlings do the best when I let them be until the 3rd or 4th set of leaves grow in.
Happy growing🙀
NFL fans
@Poolgirl
Nice work just keep doing
I have Aprena blue labs Ph Pen, a TTD or TDS pen, Jacks nutes, a monkey fan and a clip fan, and general Hydroponics Ph Up and down test kit. I have an Inground pool so I’m pretty familiar with PH. those green sticks I bought were cheap and I wanted them to monitor soil wetness. But you’re right, they don’t do a great job. I do the lift and see technique.
I tried to buy what was recommended. I however screwed up with the lights. I didn’t read about the HLG lights until I had already paid for my spider farm. At least they are better than most.
I’m using spring water because our city tap water is super high and has copper in it. It’s really wreck havoc with my pool chemicals and water.
PS. I was also a biology major in college so I LOVE this stuff. My friends tend to think I over analyze everything. I think that’s why I’m so excited with this new endeavor. My husband isn’t as thrilled as me.
Ha, my wife thinks my love of cannabis is my biggest flaw. I feel you.
I also over analyze everything to my own detriment quite often. I see the whole world as a chemistry problem. I was an ochem major so I admit my bias.
I guess that’s a double feel for you. That reminds me, I need another shot of coffee. (I also am terrible at flying off stream of conscious tangents).
@Poolgirl now you are in the best way to grown here i learning a lot on info and tips so far my grown are homemade lol but i still try
About the light spider farmer is not to bad
I run 1000w of vivosun full spectrum and so far not complaint, you going to have some monster plant with you nutrients, pot and light, i go to get other light easy for my is the mars hydro fc-3000 i will recommended to
This is my auto on 2gl pots and my light
Those are bud porn for sure. Look at those colas.
@Poolgirl you going to have better monster plants
Wow! Great info! Answered a ton of my questions as well!
Thanks guys!
Well you are set it seems like, just do the best you can to keep a good environment and set back and wait. You are way beyond where I was when I started out. And spider farm lights are not bad at all. I have one, and an HLG so keep up good work and please feel free to ask questions it’s the only way to learn. Best of luck
Thanks again everyone. I’ve learned so much in the last 24 hrs.
All excellent equipment. Set for success
Hi everyone!
@OGIncognito @Mefis
I pulled the smallest plant yesterday. Isabella was over shadowing the Red Headed Step Child (RHSC). I replanted her at the edge of the pot. I noticed this morning RHSC has brown spots. Is this magnesium excess? I haven’t added any Jacks so far. Should I just pull the RHSC and be done with her?
However, I’m having trouble keeping the tent warm.
I watered yesterday after 2 days of no water.
Not a mag deficiency… too soon. What’s the medium again as it raw or amended?? I would have repotted them individually, anyway you can do that?
