Hello everyone and thank you for helping me! So after many attempts I finally have a little group of plants…
it has been over two months and there look ready for harvest but they are also 8 inches tall. Why? not enough light? others died weeks old flowered 4 inches and died.
What strains? Also, what light cycle are you using?
Looks like either stunted autos or photoperiod plants that were under 12/12 light from the start.
If not a basic light issue, we’ll take a look at your grow medium, nutes, temps/humidity/ventilation, pH, and a few other things.
First things first though: tell us about your strain and your lights.
Do you have a ph meter ? Also could you do a support ticket a picture of your setup with the blurple lights off.
Hello blackthumbbetty and thank you so much to you everyone for helping me! it am very happy and thankful you all are so nice and sweet!
Well I have bought over 200 seeds though out the time and this is what I have alive so far… some are… I suspect because I did not labeled them… blueberry and
may be something purple something. I am gonna get myself together and with your input start from zero and make it towards having pretty plants like I have seem in some posts!! I hope that helps… I am pretty sure Blueberries were the only only ones that survive me!
ThcinKC I am gonna buy one today from the ACE Hardware after my midterm@ Thank you!!
I looked to see what Ace Hardware has to offer. You don’t want any of those - they are inadequate for your purposes.
There are several good digital pH meters available. The Apera PH20 is very popular around here:
Like @TommyBahama says the apera is the way to go 2 things to not be cheap on are light’s and ph meter with reference solution to calibrate it regularly will take away alot of problems from even happening
My grow journal 6 strains of fun i show you what a cheap ph meter did to my plants if you have time you might want to check that out
What light cycle are you using? If you’re using the wrong light cycle, your plants will keep doing this, regardless of the pH.
I think I was doing 7 to 8 pm… should I do 12 hours only? Could I out and flowers on a 20 hour cycle? I think I didn’t give them enough light and I just gave them a light when I remember!
If you’re giving your plants only 12 hours of light, they are going to flower almost right away. They need at least 16 hours of light/day throughout the veg cycle.
For vegging, you want to give your plants between 16-24 hours of LIGHT per day. If you don’t give them enough hours of light, the plant will start blooming immediately from germination. A timer helps immensely.
A typical light schedule:
1.Germination week: 24 hours light/0 dark
2. Seedling stage: 20 hours light/4 hours dark
3. Veg stage: 18 hours light/6 hours dark
4. Bloom stage: 12 hours light/12 hours dark
looks like multiple problems…
over-watered,
over-heated,
screwy light schedule,
possibly more, but this would be the major problems.
more info and pics in normal ‘white’ light would get u more/better help.!

@ThcinKC I have a could only get one like this one! Amazon.com Would this one work?
Thank you so much, everyone! This makes so much sense! Yes, I only gave them 8 hours of light a day and that would make the plant not grow! This feedback is so valuable as I was doing it all wrong! @blackthumbbetty the light schedule, I will put in practice right away! @Originalgazelle Thank you so much! I will do that soon. I am doing to buy more seeds because I think I killed more of the ones that germinated :S ouch… Thank you, I am having such a good feeling and hopes! Thank you so so much to every single one of you!!!
Wonderful! Get growing! We’ll be here for you if you have any more questions or issues.
