My plant has 3 petals instead of 5. Is this normal?

Do pot plants always have 5 leaves? Do 2 more grow after they mature?

Pics? They start with one, then 3, then 5, and so on as they grow.

It’ll grow bigger, higher digit leaves later on. Some strains do grow some funky leaves. Post a few good pics of your plant, if something’s wrong we will help you sort it out.

Different strains can do different things. I had one this year that had single leaves, 3 leaves, 5, 9, 11, and all the way up to 15 on the same plant! It was called Sneaky Freaky from @repins12

2 plants, about 6-7 wks old one very small and bushy with lots of crystals. The other tall, same age, I did prune it a bit. Both either fem or auto. I got them mixed up when planted and my seed packs were confusing, but I’ll take what I get. I have them in small tent with 2 grow led lites.600 and 1000 watt. Proper nutes from ILGM and I water every 3 days. I measure with a meter. Humidity is on the low side and temp is around 78%. I do have a problem with gnats and using mosquito bits to handle it, but it’s been an issue.

They look like they must be autos to me. My experience is that when plants start flowering, I’ve had them revert all the way back to single leaves. Looks like the smallest one is close to the end of it’s life cycle. What is your lighting schedule?

So the little one is ready to harvest? Or should I let it go for a few more weeks. I won’t get much of a yield from her for sure. What do you think went wrong, or is she just a runt.

@Anfil ,Check the trichomes for best harvest times. Milky/clear for a active high or milky/amber for a more of relaxed high. Sometimes autos trigger early and don’t yield much. Next go around try not to stress her much as possible to avoid early flower. It also could be a phenotype :person_shrugging:.
