@MeEasy yea they definitely didn’t look the spider mites in the picture or root aphids. They were more r translucent let me see if I can find the picture I found last night.
The ones that mo had were clear here’s a link to his thread where they were trying to figure it out
@MeEasy thank you for your continued assistance.
Have a quick temp question though. My tent has been averaging around 80 during the day and down to about a low of 70 at night. With rh steady in the 50s. Save zone for pm is below 60 rh correct? And I should be pretty safe with the temp swing I have no since it’s about the same to what happens at night. I mean I grow some decent bud here in the summer ands in the high 90s basically all summer with super high humidity. I have great circulation in the tent and recently picked up a small dehumidifier if needed. But I’m pretty sure I’m keeping good vpd. What’s your target temps again I. Flower?
Thanks for the tag @MeEasy it was a busy morning of being hungover, lol. I hope to be back on more sooner than later . I’m not sure on those bugs. They don’t look like the mites I have. Bug identification is pretty tricky at times. Wish I could be more help.
These plants like temperatures in the upper 70s 77° is supposed to be perfect a little warmer for seedlings and the rh between 40 and 70% it’s best to be high end during veg and lower end during flower. Now all that said the plants aren’t going to die if you don’t have perfect conditions stay above 60° and below 95° and they will grow of course very bottom or top temperatures will slow growth but not kill it keeping things close to perfect is better but not necessary… high humidity in flower you risk molds and mildew… keeping your fans blowing 24/7 and a constant flow of fresh air are a must
Cool bro I just thought in your research you might have run across them and would recognize em… thanks @MO_Grow417
Those bugs look a lot bigger than the ones I was looking at. My research on my bugs has mostly left my head. I’ve had so much lately going on in there I think I lost a lot info . I’ve been lucky to remember anything lately it feels like.
Fair enough I Know the feeling. Haha
I had spider mites last indoor grow. I had a plant that started dropping leaves and then small white spots began showing up up on the leaves. I turned over a leaf and found brown specks. When I ran my fingers over them, my fingers came back with brown streaks as I crushed them.
I attacked with a spray bottle with water, twenty shakes of essential oil, and a squirt of Castile soap. I would wet everything twice a day making sure to get under the leaves. Also sprayed the tents walls, bags, and soil. I used rosemary, mint and tea tree oils. Each for three days then rotated. After two weeks no more mites!
I did buy CJDB for this grow since my clone supplier had an infestation. Right now I am just using mint spray preventively.
Good luck!
@JaneQP Thank you for the advice. I’ve been treating pretty consistently with JDBB all grow and started with a systemic treatment for about a month ago. This past week I treated the soil with DEarth dust. I still seem to be having issues though for some reason. But something wild happened today I’ve never seen before. I just got home from work to find a colony of lady bugs in the room that had my tent. I’m going to leave the door open maybe some will find their way in.
@MeEasy A little update. I started my second job this past weekend. Back to bartending and doing construction since prepandemic. So time is something I really do t have right now. I managed to defoliate the bigger and denser of the two plants. I really didn’t take much from the other yet. The smaller plant keeps dropping leaves everyday. Seems like the budding in that plant is a little further along as well. I definitely have two different Phenos of the same plant. Anyway last night I gave them both a tea that I started brewing Sunday. I use roots organics terp tea. Had good results with it this past summer. Along with some mammoth p and rootwise system dry and liquid. Today no yellow leaves on the small plant.
But most people do two defoliations in flower 21 and 41? 41 you lollipop pretty heavy correct? But what’s your opinion on my defoliation of the one? Thank you for your continued guidance!
Here’s some pictures of the lady bug infestation
Here’s the defoliation of the one
And here’s the one that looks like it’s stunted maybe? But further along in popping flower.
The taller plant seems to be stretched. And I’m around day 24 into flower. Just seems like I’m missing something.
Yeah to the ladybugs!!!
@SilvaBack203 Also havent paid much attention to the girls I had outside from the cull. Checked them tonight when I pulled and one definitely doesn’t like the cold. The other doesn’t seem to mind the chill and is starting to throw some nice colors.
@JaneQP Ive never seen so many in one spot.
I picked up 1000 for $7.95 at a local garden center. Funny side story they have a whole area of cannabis stuff but not advertised as such LOL.
Put 300 in the tent and most left because they had to fly home because the house was on fire and the children alone? but the few left enjoyed cleaning my plants. I put the rest in our outside gardens and I was so happy each time I found one throughout the summer! Definitely going to populate the outdoor gardens with nice bugs next year!!
I’m hoping they find their way in. I might have to give them a little help. I was going to wait until right before lights out so I don’t cook them right away.
@JaneQP went to take a shower came back and score.
Wow really beautiful girl and love the color coming out wish my purple haze had some color…
Happy growing
@SilvaBack203 thank you. I’m pretty sure the lower temps bring out the purps in bud and the leaves. I may be wrong though.
Yea she’s outside in the ground the last 2 weeks been crucial she just getting fat n frosty
