It’s still drying. Probably a couple of weeks before I can try it.
Misread it was pounds not oz. Lol!! Even Better!!
I managed to jar up the GSC-x harvested thus far, just over 12 jars, may end up with a couple more from 2nd harvest of what I left on plant.
Oh excellent! My last one took a month to develop the flavor but when it did, I got mint and chocolate out of it.
Nice, thin mint phenotype!
@Slackoff here’s my journal: you might get some information out of it. Sorry it’s kinda long…
Hi sweetie, was wanting to ask if i needed to add earthworm castings & or perlite to the promix hp?
I wouldn’t myself. The HP contains extra perlite (HP is for High Porosity). As far as worm castings go, you are going to have to provide all nutes to the plant anyway so it seems like a waste of worm castings to me…
I’ve found that you don’t need to amend Promix HP with anything. Comes ready to use and I personally think it’s a great medium to grow in ![]()
Thanks for the tag in. I’ll for sure read it or find where I left off.
I lurked a lot and don’t recall what all I read prior to signing up
Thanks im outside my comfort zone being my 1st grow with promix. Wanna get it right first time.
It’s pretty easy; you got it all the way.
Great re-read. This time with much more attention paid to the details!
So much into hidden in here it’s crazy. I love the way your coco grows worked out, as much as I’d love to replicate that my work schedule would never work for it. Too many work trip for a 4-6 days at a time.
Your grow box and lights have me intrigued by the possibilty of something like that. I have a big solar system and can easily absorb some electricity with zero cost.
Too many barrio blondes and vaping headband. OG all day has me unable to focus.
I’ll be back with focused questions tomorrow ![]()
Happy to help you in any way I can.
@Audiofreak here’s my journal. Look around post number 140 for a bill of materials.
Ok throughly less medicated today.
You box lights are intriguing, I suspect I’ll need to scroll up to gather some additional info. But as I am gathering, from the more grow journals I read through, diy lights seem to be highly encouraged over crap built stuff that abounds on Amazon eBay etc.
Do you know of a good resource to check out so I can get some base knowledge in this dept.
I have a space I could easily dedicate to a grow area. Tent or some other solution.
This would be ideal to soak up some excess energy I produce and leave me with meds through the winter.
This is a great place to start. @dbrn32 loves all things light and is great about answering any questions you may have. There’s a fair amount of BS’ing but there are some real gems in here too. My build (and others’) are documented as well.
My lights, to be specific, are Bridgelux gen 1 EB modules (10 per fixture), 560mm, 3,000K with a peak of 240 watts per fixture with a footprint of 22" X 36" times 3 to fit a 48" by 72" grow box. I can turn them down 50% to 120 watts per fixture. Luminous efficacy is around 153 lumens per watt at around 75% of peak output. Higher at the lower wattages. In comparison; your average Amazon light does around 75 lumens per watt. Typically I run 600 watts all up (200 per fixture) for most of flower.
I went this route because I had access to a considerable amount of aluminum which is 50% of your expense when building lights. So mine cost just shy of $200 for each fixture but would have been double that if I had to buy aluminum.
Happy to help if you decide to build your own. I would just say to look around some. Quite a few now on the forum, YouTube can be a good source for ideas too. Just maybe give consideration to when the light fixture was built. Technology changes pretty fast on led world, so a light built a year or 2 ago components may not be available now, or not as good as it was at the time. For example, @Myfriendis410 strips have been discontinued since earlier this year. The eb gen 2 is available, but voltage is a little different, so you can’t exactly do an exact copy.
Going to do a little reading. Thx to the both you of.
I know you had some input on an upgrade in @Screwauger ,I think, grow. I’ll see if I can find that again and get some info out of there.
I will for sure be hitting you up for info as I learn a little more. Still at the point of not knowing what I don’t know.
For sure! If you run into questions hit me up, I’ll do my best to get you whatever you’re looking for.
