My first outdoor grow in a very long time!

Hey everyone,
I’m new here and just want to tell a bit about what’s going on over here!
I’ve grown indoors many times, many years ago, and due to the new recreation laws where I live, I can have a few plants legally! Ha ha ha! Now that I have a garden, I figured I should grow some nice good bud outside this time around.
Sooooo, I did my homework and found a nice strain I could work with for a little while that would be easy enough for my first outdoor grow, without sacrificing quality for ease of use. I shopped around and found the ILGM site, found some nice seeds, and got even luckier because they were on sale lol.

I started them out indoors while it was still too cold for anything to live outside, and once it was warm enough, I put them outside (I have them in 5 gal buckets). fast forward a month or so, and we get the most raid we've had on record in something like 75 years. It rained 26 out of 30 days. Unfortunately, they had to spend those days inside, next to the window, without the best indoor grow setup...

When it was finally sunny again, they went back outside, and things have been pretty decent since then. Maybe one night every week they’d have to come inside because of bad rain and strong winds etc., but mostly it was nice enough for them to be outside overnight.
As of today, 8-14-2021, the plants appear to be in their third or fourth day of flowering, and everything seems to be going well. I’ll definitely keep posting updates, and I’m sure I’ll have some questions for you guys to answer. Talk to you soon!

P.S.

After writing all of this, I’ve discovered that i cant find my pictures on my computer, so ill upload some pics in a few minutes from my phone in the form of replies. thanks again,

Here’s an update. Things have been going well for the past week or so since flowering began, but now were getting a rain storm coming through, and its gonna rain for like a week… My main issue now is, i don’t have a light setup available for flowering buds because its being used for vegging sprouts… so the 2 flowering girls are going to be sitting inside next to a window for as much light as possible. Ugh! I guess I have to build a greenhouse sooner than planned. Good thing I saved a bunch of windows from a renovation… To be continued…

UPDATE

Hurricane Henri brought about 4 days of rain, so my girls have been inside. We’re inside of the third week of flowering, and this morning being the first dry day in almost a week, I was able to check out the flowers in nice bright sunlight.
So I’m rifling around the branches and staring at the buds, and i noticed a small larva of some kind. I think think to take a picture of it, i just quickly removed it. After about an hour or so, i noticed there are a bunch of small brownish grains or something in and around the bud that the larva was on. I tried to take pictures of it, and ill post what I took, and hopefully someone can see what I’m talking about. I have no idea exactly what it is. It could be bug poop, it could be something thats supposed to be there, but there are anything like this shit on any other flower. They don’t seem to be alive, or at least they don’t seem to move on their own. I was able to pick a few off with tweezers, and they aren’t hard, but they’re so damn small its hard to really tell what it is, but I was able to flatten them easily between my fingers.
If anyone has any clue what these things are, let me know please.

The picture zoomed in the most is at 10x zoom on my phone camera. The not so close zoom is at 5x.

Welcome everyone!
I’ve got an update for you! I’m about half way through flowering. 30 days today!

How do they look?? Please let me know what you think!

We keep getting hit with crazy rain storms so they spend a lot of time inside under a not great grow light. Lol plus now the sun’s path has changed and my girls only get about 6 hours of direct sunlight, so they spend the first 3 hours and the last 3 hours of the day inside until the grow light. Lol this has gotten so comical, i just hope everything works out.

Thanks for looking guys!

Alrighty, another update, and another question!!

This is the beginning of the 8th week of flowering, and I’ve read everything i can find about harvesting. I know that i need to base my harvest on the trichomes. that being said, everything ive read explains that the trichomes will be clear, then cloudy, then when they start to turn amber, its time to harvest if you want peak THC production.
Here’s my dilemma… My girls’ trichomes are like 50% cloudy 30% clear and 20% amber

Everything I’ve read is telling me to harvest, but then again, I haven’t read anything that says the trichomes would be all three at the same time… so is the THC content going up still? or down?
