I agree with @FNG101v2. You’re gonna get some good weed no doubt. What you’ll see is the buds getting further from the light more and more fluffy.
If you had more light intensity early in grow, the nodes would be tighter spaced covering half of the issue. Then having more light intensity would get you those rock hard nugs further down the colas. Don’t worry though, you’re not much different than where most of started, or probably better than a lot of us. Next grow try running your light a little closer and see how it goes. If you’re not happy with results, hit me up and we’ll see if we can find something a little more suited for your space and goals.
@dbrn32 wow thanks man I greatly appreciate the input/advice. I’m going to keep it a small grow, no more than 3 plants. I’m growing because I have an anxiety disorder and I’m sick of the medication I’ve been taking since I was 12 (I’m 33 now). It’s terrible to feel constantly sedated. When I visited a good friend in California he bought some herb that was meant for anxiety disorders and for the first time in YEARS, I was able to just enjoy life with no anxiety and no sedation. So when I say thank you all for the advice, I really do mean it as this grow means more to me than just the standard “I want to get baked on my homegrown”.
No problem, and I hope you find some relief with your product. Lots of great people to help you here. If you need anything at all just tag me. If I can’t help I’m sure we can find someone that can.
I’m not too familiar with the full ins and outs of flowering yet since I’m just stepping into it, But I would say it appears to be a swollen calyx. However I like back up @Mrcrabs@anon95385719
Update in the ups and downs of my first grow…was saying goodnight to my ladies this past weekend and happened to look back at them once last time…that’s when I spotted it…one tiny tiny strand of web connecting two leaves…that’s right…spider mite tried to sneak in…not on my watch! Got “nuke em” to spray on my girls, so far so good. They appear to be wiped out but I’ll moniter closely…until then…here’s some pics! Any thoughts on time frame for harvest? How will I “know?”
Easiest way is to Look at the pistols and Trichomes. A majority if not close to all pistols will have changed from white typically to Orange. Your Trichomes can be judged using a Jewelers loupe and reading the below chart.
The mites can ge quite the burden. I’m on my first grow as well and also dealing with them. Pay very very close attention to your soil/ Stem/ under side of leaves. They do come and go as they please so stay up on the preventative maintenance.
I want to say good but also bad… I would suggest supporting those branches. I would think the branch bending over too much could be by lack of vigor and possibly cause a snap? Maybe I’m high and over thinking @raustin ?
