Thank you @Kapelady i have tried white widow before however ive never grown it and i quite like it so i might just pick thst as my one of 3. I also welcome any tips or advice in other strains to try. I have a shop i trust here were i can buy the day i want them and they have a huge variety and selection from Regular to auto’s and they stock many breeders aswell so any tips or advice i want to do 6 to 10 next time round but in different mediums. Maybe a third as an experiment. I am still reaserching that option. Anyway i want a strain that helps with theses illnesses from PTSD depression asthma arthritis and cronic pain and then i want something that helps chill me out and helps me to sleep. I know there is lots of different strains etc that help but is there one that does it all or will it be a combination of 2 different ones since there are in my eyes two main types of Green one tht glues you to the couch or the get up and go one. As i need one during the day for pain etc and get up and go then i need pain relief and to relax and get a good natural sleep and not feel rough the nxt day. Is that even possible lol. This is one of the reason i chose to do this specific strain and because its is supposedly a higher thc than expected and it can help PTSD so i thought about giving it a try and if it works then i will be happy to spend even more next time round to get even better genetics… thank you all for your kind words @bob31@Shuggz
@bob31 question for you my friend. What should my run off be when i finish my flush. ? Or if anyone else knows what should my tds be by the end of my flush week.?? @Shuggz@Kapelady@BIGE.
It depends on the growing medium @Mikos and even then I can’t even speculate. Every medium and mix and grow is different. Your numbers will tell us what you need to do for your next feeding. Make sure you do the pH as well.
@bob31 i dont understand what you mean by that. As i am starting or should say stopping nutes now as thats what i am told. But i dont know if the run off is supposedly to be zero or 50 or 100 tds. What should it be down to as i am FLUSHING. I always do my ph as long as my ph pen is working lol. I ask this question is there a certain tds level that i should have in my run off at the end of the grow. ??
@BIGE thank you for this bit of advice. I know u need to flush the nutes out at the end if u have used them however it then raises the question that is there a certain level for the tds to be at so that you know youve correctly leached/flushed your crop before harvest. Any advice you can give me for this point in my grow would be grately appreciated. @Shuggz@Kapelady.
hey bro how u doing i dont knw about the tds but jst use rain water or ph 7 volovic jst do that for a week well how much do they drink then let dry out till soil is real dry and cranks then cut down and hang upside dwn for 7days make sure room is warmish and not a bright room i think that shud be good cause u are using organic u can take to 2weeks if u need to then cut down bless
@Mikos…Yes there are different strains that do different things! I am not an expert (ask Bob) on this and have been pretty satisfied with the White Widow for my pain. The Amnesia Haze that I am currently growing will be interesting for me to see what different effect it has on me compared to the White Widow. I know that (I believe it is Blueberry) that helps with diabetes and don’t forget that smoking helps if you have glaucoma (I have been diagnosed just recently with the onset of glaucoma). I’m just starting, like you, and this grow is only my 3rd grow. So, I’m still learning and experimenting too!
If you are going to flush because you are at the end of the grow, I want you to hold up and keep feeding nutrients. You are not ready for harvest.
You flush for one of two reasons. Your nutrients recommend it or you are at the end of your grow and harvest is imminent.
Autos need 8 weeks of flowering or so.
2 days ago you told me they were 41 and 31 days old.
They are not ready for harvest. When you see that the pistils are 75% brownish/ red then you will be getting close to flushing and then harvesting. You only need to flush a day or so before harvest.
The 8 weeks of flowering is just a guide. Mine have all taken longer. @Mikos
Thank you @bob31 see this is were i am getting confused. On the breeders site that i got my strain from say tht it takes 73day from seed for this strain however from what ive learnt and what you know that i still have just over 14days or so left is what the breeder says and with yourself and others are telling me that i am still a bit longer which suites me cause i want it to be right and not too earlie. I will be going by your advice @bob31 i just what other people’s view aswell to compare to. As even now there is always someone who knows just that little bit more or just different ways and thats all i want to learn my own way to doing this but whith the help and guided from some of the greatest growers in the world.
Good morning my freind its pretty early but then i am a family man with little ones so i am always up at silly times anyway. To answer your question my friend i am flushing them because i thought thats what i was supposed to do on my chart it says to flush (when i say flush i mean just feed water for 2wks)with plain water for 2wks like my nute chart says. ? But if you say to keep feeding nutes then i will. I just need guidence throu this grow with as much guideness from other growers that helps me build my confidence so that i know am doing it right. So i basically flushed 2 girls yesterday as they were to get plain phd water anyway as thts what the chart says. So have i done it wrong or was i right to leach/flush last 2wks chart says give water. How easy is it for me to order seeds from here as i worry about ordering seeds online since its not ilegal to buy seeds in Britain it is only ilegal to grow them but my worry is tht if ordering online that certain agencys would be made aware of my purchase. Or is that me being silly @Shuggz my friend whats your view of ordering online shuggz ? Or anyone else in Britain whats your thoughts or experiences.? Drop me a line because i am already planning my next OP am thinking of using my spare room as a nursery and kitting it out top to bottom with tents etc or one large tent with two compartments. I intend doing soil and soiless and am not sure about hydro/auto pots any help to reach my final decisions…??
