I was thinking about getting a new Ph meter. I’ll do that. Thanks all.

They smell nice and they are growing.

I added more PK with FloraBloom. That was helpful.

Is it normal for banner autos fan leaves to yellow are the buds taking all the nitrogen

@Mlancer Generally, the plants remove nutrients from the lower fan leaves first. If they were mine and I was following a prescribed nutrient schedule, I would raise the overall amount somewhat. Say from a “Light” to “Normal” level.

Thanks I thought so there 58 days in

How long have they been in flower?

About 4 weeks im using cal-mac and flower fuel ocean forest dirt

Here’s the plants. I got a new Ph device. The Ph has been fine.
Fed today, seems like they are eating.

Gonna ride them out. At day 70 42 days in flower thereabouts

Is this a foxtail? I read about a 1000 articles on them and still really don’t get it, lol Jking.

What was your medium/soil PH?

I think your soil is alkaline. Too much calcium and magnesium. If you added a dose of cal mag and lime. You roasted your soil and like @Jarlax said. Your calcium toxic, and locking your plant from feeding off the medium. At this point you need to check the PH of the medium. I would not add anything else as your plants won’t uptake anything else.

Well FFHF is supposed to be 6.2 out of the box.

I didn’t test the soil. But the runoff has been consistent at 6.4-6.8.

Went and used a new device to check Ph. Still the same. Runoff numbers were fine yesterday.

Wow. That is some good information. It seems they are eating.

But I will check the soil. Thanks.

That is a foxtail…… fox tailing is tricky. There’s a lot of genetics that naturally fox tail. If I have a plant and only shows fox tailing at the top of the cola. Then I would consider something I did wrong. But when the foxtails are all the way through a bud, and on all buds. Then, I would consider it genetics.

Do I get to harvest the foxtail. I know that sounds like a dumb question, but I think it’s genetics.

This plant was goofy from the beginning. It just looked different than the others.

You will just have a trimmers nightmare…. :joy: I wouldn’t cut the foxtails off per say, but whatever looks good to you in the final product. Some plants do goofy things. I have one that looks so weird. Never seen such a thing. Mine is 100% stress related. I think…….,

I went back and look at my last logbook. Last grow I did not add cal-mag for the first few weeks, I watered and used what was in the FFHF.
The leaves turned. The same thing that happened with these girls.
So this grow I added the proper amount with only water and the FFHF soil. To avoid what happened last time.
And I got the same thing, lol.
But I think what you stated is correct.

And I didn’t add that much lime and salts in the soil. For four 5 gallon buckets worth of soil I added a tablespoon, if that? That’s not all that much?

Honestly, it’s always something with this hobby. thanks again.

I’m going with a fem photo next grow.

I have had a roller coaster ride like yourself when I used premixed mediums. I always found myself chasing issues. Finally found at that how much a Soil PH tester is beneficial to the arsenal of tools. Checking PPM is a good way to find issues, but it doesn’t tell the whole story. If the PH in the soil is too high or too low. The plant will do weird things. Are you growing from clones? As far as Cal-Mag. I add a teaspoon of Epson Salt per gallon of water.

I’m to the point I use Molasses, and Epson Salt for all my calcium and magnesium needs. I grow in my own cooked soil. I live on a lake, and I walk the woods looking for areas where there’s death…… lol. I mean dead leaves, dead organic life. And I have had 0 nutrient deficiencies. I use fish :poop:, worm :poop:, and my own cooked compost for feedings. My waterings consist of chopped banana peels, any other fruit or vegetable skins, molasses and Epson Salt. My only issues come when I use pre mixed mediums. They’re either too hot, or out of balance. And just leads us chasing our tails.

I’ll get there, lol. My state just went legal so I’m new to this. I did use my aquarium water once or twice.

Thanks for the help.
