@Mucluc I have used FF soil and nutrients and I started the nutrients day one by the schedule after the 3rd week of them being transplanted into their final pot. I only transplant once. I don’t use soil anymore hydroponic was much easier for me.

Your training looks great. Once it starts to fill out more. Things will get even easier :+1:

Not sure what to do after this point. And how do you guys water when the leaves are covering just over the dirt like this. @Abu420 , @Lacewing , @Caligurl could use some advice.

This picture was Wednesday I will have to update it.

What I would do is take a pencil or something and draw a little mote in the soil right at the ‘drip line’. Then water into the mote but not too much at a time so it overflows the mote.

Here’s what I mean by drip line

I water from the bottom with AC infinity self watering bases, they use wicks and 3 or 5 gallon fabric pots .
The wicks take up the water from the bottom and deliver it to the fabric pot and the medium soaks it up ,the plant drinks when it wants
I top water outdoors and didn’t want that hassle of runoff indoors .
But also I think every grow has been great using them aside from the first where I gunked up the system with like bembe ,and microbes from fox farms ,
Now I just use straight jacks 321
Every time I fill the bases I use it
Maybe I’m lucky but I seem to have plants that flourish doing it that way

So if I was too watering with the leaves there I would gently pull them up and towards the center of the plant as I water them let them go .

In a few weeks those leaves can be plucked off anyway

I also don’t transplant ever technically
Sometimes I will start plants in little peat pots but I just poke holes in and rip the bottom off when putting into their forever homes ,but ideally I drop a germinated seen right into its forever home which for me is a 5 gal fabric pot

@Bentstick @Lacewing
Thanks I think it might be because I lowered the light. Now my DLI is at 35. They seem to like it lower.

Well they aren’t too tall yet so you’re probably right .
All this made me go put my 1st trellis layer in and it was overdue so thanks lol

Day 411 above ground. I believe the LST is working fine. I keep pulling the ends down every couple days. I did notice the growth rate is much slower than my previous grows. But I didn’t let them. So hoping it is normal to grow slower. I do notice lots of fresh growth starting to pop up.

My clones don’t seem to be doing anything and dumped one that had mold growing on top of soil. Any suggestions on how to get them to go better would be appreciated. I topped all these plants and that’s what the clones are. I did put rooting powder on them and I have been keeping them wet.

That would be day 41 not 411.

I have a friend that grew a strain called freetheV

It’s high in THCV and a very sativa landrace
It took from March until almost the end of November outdoors

Wow that is a long time. It must have been indoors. What is the THCV? Have to look that up. I am looking for something to help with pain with little to no THC. I take morphine sulfate already for pain. But have for about 18 years. So looking to grow some help. Here are the ladies after defoliating and feeding.

I would really drill down and look for methods to ingest cannabis orally. I think you’ll derive more benefits from the plant that way. THC/CBD plants would be my first choice as the abundance of different cannabinoids adds to the ‘entourage effect’ and may make it more effective.

That is the plan. After these are harvested I have a neighbor that is going to show me how to make edibles.

Here is today’s pic after a little defoliating of leaves blocking other branch sites. Thanks for the info.

48 days above ground. All 4 plants have taken to LST very well. The only leaves I take off are in the dirt or blocking grow sites. I think they are ready to be transplanted into their final pots which are 7 gallon pots for two of them and the other two will be going outside as soon as it warms up next week. I will keep one in the tent and one outside also. The other two go to a neighbor which is planting outside.

Great idea. I will give it a shot after moving them to a new pot. Also could you give me some advice on after I originally did the LST tying down the outside branches all the new ones are popping up not sure what to do with those if I should just let them grow or try to LST them down to the sides also?

IMHO I wouldn’t top anymore, just continue with the LST to keep the canopy even
