Ending 2022 right with Gorilla Glue #4

What a great way to end 2022 right before Christmas. Started 3 beans 12/23/22 around 8:50am and all 3 beans have tails showing around 8:30pm on 12/24/22. Have 3 red solo cups with Mother Earth CocoPeat with drainage holes in my humidity dome set up that I’ll start the beans (usually started my beans in rockwool cubes)but decided to try something different I’m thinking by the time spring time comes around, the plants will be good to soak up natural sun light. I do have a 4x4 tent I could set up if it comes down to it.

Newbie that i was, spring planting and outdoor micro-climate calendars out of sync.
Flag day determined, possibly too early for outdoor PNW-island (-8degreesF from Seattle temps).
Island "fog’ drowns seedligs, in my experience. Time your grow for Summer Solstice and remember Photos’/Autos could be a factor. Good growing and Merry Christmas to you. Welcome!

Transplanted the beans this morning. One had a tail about 1/2 and others weren’t to far behind. Carefully put them in red solo cups and gave them a little mist on the heater around 75deg. What a great way to start Christmas morning off right. I ended up putting the dome over the beans. Lights are about 18inch away

Merry Christmas! Beautiful plant. What strain? Looks like your about a week or two into flower. What soil and nutes have you been using?

9 week old ILGM Autos White Widow / GG4 / Bruce Banner.

Soil - Fox Farms (Happy Frog / Coco Loco) 50/50 mix

Nutes - Fox Farms (Grow Big / Cal Mag) veggie stage

Fox Farms (Tiger Bloom) Humboldt Secret (Sweet and Sticky) flower stage

Room conditions - 72 / 76 F 30%-45% H

Homemade light & ventilation system.

How do you like Coco Loco? I’ve grown in Mother Earth CocoPeat with General hydroponics nutes. I’ll be doing my 1st tent grow or if the weather is decent, then I’ll greenhouse grow. I still have a ways to go. Like trying something new to figure out what I like. This will be my 4th or 5th grow. If I end up doing my first tent, I’ll have to buy a light.

I like all of Fox Farms soil and products. The Coco Loco drains well but I like nutes in Happy Frog or the Oceans blend. That’s why I mix it 50/50. I love indoor growing. Yes you have to buy a few things but once you get upset you can control everything.

Are you doing any preventative sprays? I haven’t done any grows with fox farm or any of their nutes. Ive done an outdoor plant in a 15 gallon with Mother Earth Groundswell, green house grows in 10-15 gallons totes but never a tent grow unfortunately.

No i’m not. I’ve never had any issues with Fox Farms products besides self done issue once. Too heavy feeding and plants start looking bad, but did a two round flush and all was back to normal so I just adjusted my mixer and schedule to exactly what directions said… VERY IMPORTANT…lol. I use 7 gal fabric Smart Pots.

On all my grows, I’ve done preventative sprays with Growers Ally Crop Defender 3 witch is a insecticide, fungicide and a miticide all in one. The only time I had to do a flush is doing a heavy dose of riper if I remember correctly (photos). I’ve grown in Coco (ME CocoPeat) and soil (ME Groundswell) and I really like MotherEarth CocoPeat. It seems like FoxFarm CocoLoco is pretty similar to CocoPeat. I’ll be either sticking to 10 gallons or will do 7gallon fabric totes if I end up doing a tent grow.

Here’s a update on GG4. Coming along quite nicely, added some spoil to the streachy two and lowered the light a little bit from about 12-16inch to around 8inch. Using seedling bulds in clamp lights that I used before on my Bruce Banner/Blue Dream grow.

Week one plus a day since potting in solo cups. Vents opened 1/4 ways set at 76 degrees. Ones taking off more and one is lagging alittle. Lights around 16 inch. Had tooth pick in the one slightly bent but was getting moldy. Unsure what happened to the tips on #2 seedling. On a 18/6 light schedule set up in my closet.

Just picked up a SF4000 for a steal. Brand new and has everything included in the box. Moved the seedlings into the tent with the light about 27-28 inches away still on the heating pad. Tent is in the garage and unsure on temp at night or during the day. Still on a 18/6 schedule. No CO2 bottle. Have a fan blowing into the tent helping with CO2. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

With your SF4000, I have my light on the lowest setting possible with almost 2 week old seedlings since popping through soil. Being a newbie to tent grows, I’m trying to figure out my lighting. I have my light about 27-28 inches away. Using some ME coco peat from my last grow (might have been a bad idea but little too late now), I gave them a light dose of feed this evening. How long till I turn up my light little bit? The yellow rag is soaked with water, still on heating pad. Night temps are about 65deg with about 60% humidity. I might have to a humidifier to bring it up. I have a fan blowing into the tent down low and a vent open near the top. Any information would be great.

I like the distance and the light feeding with the reused soil was probably a good idea. I’d let them ride a bit a see if they fill in first.
