Anyone use them? What one do you use? I’m thinking about purchasing one but the price is all over the place and they all claim to be the best. What are some good brands that work well and won’t break the bank?
I do not use one in my indoor grows…I use peat and 5 or 7-gallon bags…so I just use the lift method and water when they get light. Outside I use soil and bigger pots so I have had luck with Ecowitt
I have this one…I can check it on my phone. They have many less expensive options that don’t have that feature.
@Riskguy I’m strictly looking for a meter to measure moister content in my buds during the drying process. Sorry for not being clear
@David1974 I have yet to get one from myself but I’m pretty sure you can get by with a cheap one for 15 bucks or so
Gotcha…I use this for buds. I put in Grove bags at 13% moisture on the wood setting.
There are less expensive ones that likely work just as good. I use it for firewood too.
This one is within budget so I’m going to order it. I’ve gotten mixed reviews about the grove bags so I’m sticking with my glass jar and burping manually method.
When you get it, set it to hardwood , and your looking for 10-11 percent to be ready to jar, that will have you at 60-62 percent rh in jars.![]()

Thank you very much. That was going to be my next question.
OK my moister meter was delivered yesterday. I just randomly checked 20 different buds and got an average of 13%. I’m gonna check them again this afternoon. Been drying for 5 full days
@Riskguy @Growdoc do I insert probes into thick parts of buds. I find of i touch the stem the moisture goes way up.. center of bud might be 10% but of i insert to the stem it might be 18%
Check buds, not stems, stems hold moisture longer.![]()

Thank you much. I’m pretty sure it’ll be in jars by the end of the day. I’ve got the room almost dialed in is between 58% humidity and temp is around 63°
Agreed on bud, sounds like you are there
