Yeah the four Super Lemon Haze that I grew were anywhere from 26 in tall to 54 in tall. I don’t think the genetics have quite been nailed down on the strain yet.
I have 1 of that strain auto going also. Last 1 was tall. This 1 is short/fat. Also taking its time. First time i did this breed was a tall girl.
@Naturalmedsman Yes, the one in the back has grown the strongest the and is the most mature of the plants.
@fast-grow in my last grow of SLH I did have 2 of 6 plants that grew faster than the others. I am Experiencing something similar again. This time one died as a seedling. So there could be something there to your theory of not having the genetics right yet.
@Storm Did you top or FIM them? I did not top my first grow. Then on this grow I topped two and FIM’ed the other The two that were topped are the tallest two plants. the three FIMed plants went into shock but have started growing again. So I am excited to see how they will turn out.
No sir. Auto i almost always grow straight and true. They are just fillins.
Alright, it’s been about 1 month since I attempted to FIM and where I topped plants.
2 plants topped are obvious. There is no additional vertical growth and the plants are growing just fine.
3 plants I attempted to FIM and those plants look as though they were not topped. Now since the plants are all in flower I am just planning to defoliate and do a little LST.
Single plant FIM’ed I think I missed.
I am using LUX to adjust my light output to 100K at the height of the tops of the tallest plants. I have plants that are all at different heights and so I am still using the platforms to ride up the shorter plants.
They stretched quite a bit and are looking great!
@Naturalmedsman 4/5 are looking really good.
The 5th is growing slowly and did not stretch like the others.
Over the last few days it seems to be reacting to nute burn. I have the plants on an automatic watering system hooked up to a reservoir.
So I will now attempt to correct my issue by limiting nutrients by decreasing nutrients to the one plant. I will do this by partially closing the valve going to the one plant.
I will then also water with PH’ed RO water at 5.8.
This is my plan. If others have suggestions it would be great to hear them.
Those flowers are coming along nicely!
Seems like a good plan re: nute burn, but don’t take my word for it. I grow outdoors in organic soil and haven’t had to deal with burn yet. While I’ve used salt-based nutes during flower to get the buds to bulk up and build density, I typically use half the recommended dose (fox farms dry nutes - beastie, cha ching and sesame). I can see the tips on your leaves curling just a little, so hopefully by temporarily cutting or stopping the nutes they’ll bounce right back from it.
@Naturalmedsman I am currently looking at a product to help and increase density in the bud as well. I have found a foiler spray with P and K.
What are you using?
I am also thinking I may be able to bring the plant closer to the light as well. Now that the plant is 2 months old it may not stretch that much though. Maybe it will help the plant develop more though?
@fast-grow
I’m circling back around as I started another round and two of my new seeds had issues as well.
One never sprouted a tap root and the other died two days after sprouting. All seeds had the same soil, nutrients, lighting, etc.
All of Auto Grows of SLH have had an issue with with at least 1-2 plants per 6 started.
Seed didn’t sprout
Seedling died
Plant did not grow like the others (runt)
I still have 16 Super Lemon Haze Autos left to Sprout, it’s going to be a long time before I do them. I have so many other strains I want to try before I replant those it might take me a few years. I’m still sitting on a pound of Super Lemon Haze flower gallon glass jars.
@fast-grow nice that you have some stored away for a rainy day. I bought 20 SLH and then bought 20 Big Bud seeds, and have been wanting to get get Zkittles but they never go on sale. They must be the good ones.
This is what is used.

I had to harvest early due to bud rot, but they got pretty dense. This is northern lights photo:
@Naturalmedsman those buds are looking real nice. I switched from Fox Farms to Jacks 321. This is my first full grow with Jacks. I am hoping for good things.
I’m gonna try my first complete indoor run in over 20 years, starting in 2 months, with super lemon haze, in my 4x4 tent. This thread has been helpful. As an ilgm newbie, I’m loving these forums. You folks are an invaluable source of knowledge. Greatly appreciated!
Awesome @wagner,
Welcome to the forum. I need to post some updated pics.
Please tag me so I can follow along.
I have all intentions of starting, and more importantly trying to maintain, a grow journal. I believe that will commence circa 6/1. I perused the grow journal section specifically looking for testimonials on strains I already have (super lemon haze, granddaddy purple, white widow, durban poison, and a few gold leaf; all procured from ilgm), with the idea of trying my hand at indoors again after a long hiatus. I would already be started, but my 4x4 is currently holding 38 of the aforementioned in preparation for the great outdoors. After examining all my options I narrowed it down to granddaddy purple & super lemon haze. And right now myself, along with many other seasoned smokers I know, are gravitating towards anything sativa-heavy. So I’m opting for 4 super lemon haze in the 4x4, in some blend of happy frog soil varieties, added perlite, liquid nutes, either 5 or 7 gallon grow bags, multiple varieties of training (thinking FIM then scrog), under my new mars hydro fc 4800. Which is what my outdoor girls are currently basking under in the tent.
Tag me when you start that journal. I’ll be starting super lemon haze auto and Durban poison photo in about month. When I do I’ll start a journal too. Good luck!
Thanks for the welcome and my apologies for neglecting that in my previous reply. I will remember to tag you when I start my journal. I’ve noticed that after 2 bouts of covid that my short term memory loss is exponentially worse and I have trouble focusing, but we will overcome. Maybe later or tomorrow I’ll post a few pics of my overstuffed tent. I am currently experiencing some issues. A combo of light burn and lack of cal/mag I believe, but I didn’t arrive at this diagnosis until this morning and they all had haircuts and baths yesterday, so I will bide my time.
