Miks grow log 2024

What is root system like on plant in question? I don’t use autopots, but pretty sure they require root system to be near bottom of pots to wick water properly. New plants in autopots usually require being top watered for a little while.

Ok thank you @dbrn32 guess ill have to trust the dumb kid to not let coco dry out in their cups. Guess i can always start over as i still have 8 more seeds, ill hope for the best,

Kind words: thank you.

Once I figured out the little quirks of running these, it has been very easy to grow. Using Jack’s with the Autopots is also a good fit. I don’t flush, check runoff, or modify my nutrient schedule. Just run full strength until two weeks before harvest then water only.

@Myfriendis410, do you run full strength even at seedling stage? Ive always used tap water that is declorinated but ppm is at mid 400 out of tap so just started using 1/4 strength jacks that puts me at around 600 ish ppm, would you suggest i use full strength right now at 2 days above ground. I twice buffered coco at full strenghth with same tap water and ppm is about 1400. Maybe should i be buying something like mount olympus spring water instead of tap?
Thanks for input myfriend

I use full strength vrom ssedling. My muni water is 130 ppm. As high as yours is, you might think about R/O.

Im preparing for time to transplant into 5 gal grow bags and not using the happy hydro pots that were supplied mostly because of height restrictions 60".

Was or am intending to go 100% coco as they are in now. Have read about all kinds of mixes and what not. Would anyone suggest something like a layer of clay balls or pearlite mix at the bottom of the bag. Im sure a few people here have played around with different ways with coco and autopots.

Deacided on 100% coco and autopots to keep it simple and not get overwhelmed. And by simple i dont mean as cheap as possible. If you all have had hood results with one thing over another would like to hear about it before i start rinsing and buffering to fill bags.

Thanks again you all.

I layer the bottom of the bags with a few inches of hydroton, I definitely recommend this for bottom wicking systems :love_you_gesture:

Compensating for my tap water been using exactly 1 2 3, 3g part a 2g part b and 1g epsom, puts my ppm at almost exactly 1000, 1020 to be exact
