Here is another ad hoc update. I just started LST and tie down (ie bondage @kaptain3d )

Most folks that are monitoring my grows are quite familiar with training methods and what to expect. For those few that may be new to the scene, this update is for you. This update will focus on one plant, an ILGM Girl Scout Cookies Extreme, GSC-1.

The first and third photos were taken while the lights were off and the second was during lights on. That is why the lighting looks so different.

This shot is from yesterday morning before the training/tie down on day 29

This on is just a couple of hours later after bending and tying down the main stem

And finally, this is the same plant this morning 24 hours after the training session

Because this is a low stress training technique, the plants don’t slow in growth and recover almost immediately.

I will install the SCROG frames/nets in a week or two. The tie downs are removed at that time. The netting serves to train the plants at that point.

Just finished snipping off the lowest branches on three of my plants. That would be the feckless first branches that come out.

We feed deer in our yard (we live in the forest). I placed the cuttings out for the deer to eat. They are having none of it. They won’t even get close enough to taste them. Apparently, the smell is enough to keep them away. The forest is full of food that they eat daily. They need to get hungry to eat cannabis.LOL

If it was growing outside they would. down here in ky you have put cages around them in veg til they get big enough out grow the deer

I don’t know what they would do if they were growing outside. I can say that we landscaped the area around our house 30 years ago. We selected plants from the list that the deer won’t eat.

Deer can’t read! They ate everything that we planted except the Rhodies. We have since let the forest take over again as it was too expensive and too much effort to keep it at bay.

It won’t be time for an update for a couple more days. It is time for a little “photo quiz”.

The germinated “Runt” failed to emerge from the soil as expected so several days after the first three emerged I dropped the “Replacement” seed into water and planted it the next day. A couple of days later the “Replacement” emerged followed by the “Runt”. I had to dig the “Runt” up in order for it to start growing as it was going sideways.

Here we are, 34 days after the first three came up and about 27 or 28 days since the “Runt” and “Replacement” emerged from the soil.

Can anyone identify which is the “Runt” today?

LOL There is no prize for correct identification. It is just for fun.
