So i take you you dont use solo cups or small pots at all just straight to the for ever home
You have a forest in the beginning. gotta follow this grow happy growing
Yep straight into the big pot. It’s best to never disturb your soil because it disrupts the food web ability to communicate and make food for the plant. Even when you top dress It’s important not to rake any deeper than an inch. That is why so many farmers are going to a no till style of growing, I’m digging in like 3" between grows but I cook at least 2 weeks and it takes a little while for the roots to establish in the soil. I figure it’s better to break up that harder layer on top and mix in more worm poop perlite and nutrients. I don’t know if I’m right though it breaks the no till rule. But I’m in a pot with no where to add it on top
This is exactly what makes me want to go to beds man thinking about ditching the tents and doing a 3x3 bed and 4x2 bed really build up that soil and allow it its full potential and switch to no till im surprised at this point you dont have any beds yet lol
I have thought alot about beds , my thought is having the pots keep the plants portable so I can work on training and move them around if I have a few shorties and some taller ones. Lighting is so critical to the outcome of the buds having them locked together is not going to work… # unless , you are planning to lock them together anyway in a net
After I watched this I thought it might be better to go with the beds even if you are locking them together will the plants communicate and help each other grow
Susan Simard… how trees talk to each other Suzanne Simard: How trees talk to each other | TED Talk
Ive actually watched the entire Ted Talk video on yt its extremely amazing what they can do for one another and how they can communicate with one another growing has turned into such a large rabbit hole for me and it blows my mind the more i read/watch and learn its truly fascinating to me
That it is , my friend and there is so much crap out there that contradicts each other it’s hard to make sense of a lot of it
I’ll probably get a bed and try it out when or if I ever get into the big growroom
Alot of what i learn everyone here and from Jeremy at Build A Soil i watch all of his YT videos he puts out he also has a fourm as well on his website that i read through he has a plethora of knowledge when it comes to organics
Tent 3 update
These autos are doing pretty good considering the environmental struggles they are two weeks into flower and the hedgehogs are about to turn into buds already
Original Sensible Seeds , Pink Rozay x Strawberry Banana auto
ams , NY Turbo Diesel auto (Highway Dust)
MSNL , Bubblegum auto
A great group of autos ya got there definitely developing nicely
The larger amounts of soil in the beds, allowing for the larger fungi networks, and the more consistent moisture levels relly makes for a optimal grow space. Our 200 gallon pots we use fo the full season typically grow the best because of this. When running in the smaller pots that get pretty well loaded up with roots start to slow down a bit more once they get bigger. Auto tent is looking great to, seems like we all are getting hit with wild temps in the grow space.
looking outstanding Mr Chopper
Damn easy. Got it looking fore in there. Any of u guys know how to rid of the free book icon on a reen that is annoying ASF. Otherwise I won’t be back til it’s gone it is so annoying setting in one spot can’t be moved or anything. Lol
Just downloaded it and green dot gone. It was very annoying
Thanks @LiesGrows I was hoping for a little more stretch but I’m not complaining since they’re happy
Thanks @Roadsideorganics.ok I’ve been reading how much better the living soil is in bigger pots and I would like to try some one day. One day I’ll get the big room done and I’ll have more space to play then I’ll get more crap and be just as cramped
just in a bigger spot
Thanks @Mark0427 I’m not getting a book thing yet
Okay y’all I think I’ve HEARD it all now
our next big spend is going to be microphones. Scientists have found that plants talk when they get thirsty or injured. I’m sure it won’t be long before we start seeing companies exploit this and flood the market with all kinds of listening devices so we can hear the plants tell us when to water them
Spoke to soon, I have it now
Green dot won’t move. Lmao. It’s annoying being there. If I could move it to a corner or rid of it would be great. Lol.
Lmao. Maybe we can see them do a shimmy shake if they r mute plants that can’t speak. What if it’s a deaf plant then how does it talk. Ask the scientist that?? Lol.
