Thank you so much for all of that info!! I’ll definitely check out mammoth as well. But I think I’m damned near sold on a few of those. A couple 6x12s with a couple of 1000s in each gotta be a sweet spot!! Really appreciate you sharing your research!!
Happy Growing!!
There are discounts available, but we’re not allowed to share them here. I can be found on reddit, insta, Twitter ect. My username is said to hold magical powers.
Bottled, CO2 and if you are planning on using it you need a completely recirculating room, or your precious C02 is lost. In addition CO2 is dangerous to humans, DO NOT work in a C02 enriched room! It must be vented first!
You mean like with air circulation inside the tent? I have two fans … the vent system that I have wouldn’t be enough? I have the ac infinity cloudline 6 inch… sorry just confused want to do the right thing but keep it healthy.
have a question regarding the HLG 650R, they come with an option to buy the UV bar. Does anyone own one? Is it worth the upgrade?
It’s not necessarily an option for the 650r. It’s an individual light that can be used stand alone. It definitely mounts to the 650s and 550s easily. This is my first grow with the 650s and the uv light. Been running the uv for like 3 weeks. I’ll tag someone that can give true testimony @Hellraiser
Happy Growing!!
@420qc
Yeah this is my first grow ever. I pulled the trigger on the lights they’ve been working Great. I was just a bit confused on the UV lights.
From what I have studied, it says that the UV lights stress the plants, And caused them to develop a layer of resin and trichomes To help and protect the plants from the light. to help and protect the plants from the light. Causing the THC levels to rise. Which obviously is a good thing
No you need a recirculating system the room must be sealed and the CO2 cant be allowed to escape until its time to vent. This means you need other equipment like dehumidifiers, AC, air movers really strong lighting! And other stuff. Most importantly, C02 in bottles a regulator and a guage to tell you how much C02 is in the room! You cannot be in the saturated room, C02 displaces oxygen and you can get really with prolonged exposure. It happens slowly, you begin to feel tired and sluggish, then dizzy and sick to your stomach. If you dont get fresh air you can pass out. When the ambulance comes they will feed you enriched O2 and place a pulse ox on your finger. Your lips will be blue and it will require hospitalization until the o2 levels in your blood gasses are restored. Ive been to several calls as a med first responder as a result of working in a C02 enriched environment. 2 events where the room was not well sealed and the owner was watching tv on the same floor, his wife came home and couldnt wake him up. He survived, but barely.
Yes it is, but just like C02 is dangerous, obviously UV is extremely dangerous to your eyes and skin. It would be wise to have the UV light on a separate switch that can be turned off before entering the room. UV causes skin cancer and cataracts in the eyes. Take these warnings seriously. I am not exaggerating.
I plug in an unplug mine outside my tent as well.
Good! Dont forget! The device will come with a warning label, its there for a reason!
Just look what it does to your plant. Leaves look like they were nuked. Buds definitely rock though.
That’s scary as well I don’t think I want to add CO2 on my tent then. Thanks for the warnings tho
Just keep in mind that the increase in THC will be small, but I notice it and so has a bunch of my friends and family. I’m a fan of the UV.
Did your lead damage happen late? I’m not noticing any last damage as of yet. Almost 4 weeks.
Happy Growing!!
Yeah, happened in late flowering, also may be the fact that the UVA light was a bit closer than recommended (18 inches instead of the 24 inches recommended).
I thought CO2 causes a primal panic response in humans? Even those with the gene deletion that stops them from feeling fear can panic from high CO2 levels. CO levels on the other hand don’t cause a panic response. Also CO2 blood levels are easily restored in an otherwise healthy person due just to the way hemoglobin chemistry works. CO on the other hand takes time to remove from the blood as it binds like 8 times? More strongly to hemoglobin.
All I can say as a med responder, C02 can be dangerous in high concentrations especially over time in an eclosed space. Yall can do what you like, I highly recommend venting an enclosed space before entering if using C02 enrichment.
What’s your thoughts on spider farmer vs Mars?
Which one is better?
