Mars hydro fc4800

So I have the mars hydro fc 4800, I flipped my plants 10days ago and currently have the light 14" above the canopy. My question is how high should I have them above the canopy during flower?

It’s @100%

Low to 50% or raise up to 32" or more

Here’s the par map for your light to give you an idea on output

@Skott, a ruler can be used for measuring distance, but it’s not very good at measuring light output. Your total usable output for the fixture may vary from that map.

You should have a light meter, if you have a smartphone you can get the Photone app. Light is so critical, IMO it should be measured like everything else.

I will definitely download the app and see. Is it true the par should be between 800-1000?

Yes, in umol, for flowering on a 12/12. Another way to express it is DLI, which also takes into account the number daylight hours. In veg, since you’re running for more hours, you don’t need to be that high, more around 5-700 between early and late veg.

Good to know thanks

To be honest thats market rated hieghts , but you can adjust it yourself to find the happy spot . The plants will tell you everything you need to know to do. Learn the plants language they talk Sir . Can we see plants and light , in veg you raise your lights so the plants grow vertical to lights , in bloom you bring the light to them to increase intensity so the more light the bigger the buds can produce .

I just gotta 4800 and installed it a little less than 2 weeks ago. I’m in a 4x4 with the moso driver outside. At what height did you use for vegetation?

24 inches shoukd work perfect .
