I’ll say I can’t trust good faith in anything the .Gov is involved in. Anything!
@CC_Mo 100% All I can think is how certain weed strains will be more regulated than others, and possibly regulated for strength amounts.
If you have a particular strain that everyone likes, we better squirrel them now.
@kaptain3d
For the sake of the discussion are there high THC regulations in Canada?
Yes, but they left it for each individual Province to set their limits. Here in Québec, nothing over 30% THC… So no diamonds, rosin, extracts in our expensaries…
I definitely see the need for home extraction now.
So strange, I remember all the blond hash in the 80’s that the fruit pickers brought with them from Quebec every summer.
How do they measure that?
The dispenseries are run by the government… They test to make sure the products follow their guidelines.
No joke. It won’t happen over night but when it does get brought up the current seed market is going to get very expensive before it’s gone. Probably out of reach for most.
The DEA is dragging its feet on this action, taking as long as they can to review the “medical benefit.”
The Biden administration wants it to move forward, and most of the American people think it’s just insane that MJ is classified the same as heroin and methamphetamine.
This move could help cannabis producers and distributors a lot by allowing them to deduct operating expenses, but it could also come with a lot of regulatory red tape. The potential downside is that Schedule III substances can currently only be distributed by pharmacies by law. A future administration could use rescheduling to shut down legalization efforts in any place they choose by requiring dispensaries to get pharmacy licensing.
All in all, this move signals an end to “Reefer Madness” mentality about pot, and a move toward a rational treatment of cannabis, and will lead to a surge in research if and when it actually happens.
Marijuana should have never been classified as a schedule 1 drug Im growing in a illegal state so Hopefully my state will at least lesson the penalty better yet let me grow in peace
