So im trying to figure out if this is a male, female or just to early to tell hopefully the picture will tell 1000s words but if not there is no “nut” sack just looks off to me maybe i should wait a bit before killing it but any help or information would be very greatly appreciated thank you. FYI the first picture is the one in question and is a photo period kush the second photo is of a autoflower gelato the kush hasnt shown a white pistal its just green let me know if you need any other information thanks again.
I think you’re still early to tell.
I also forgot to say i started them August 20th so not yet a month old i just dont mess with photoperiod plants i only really do autoflowers to be on safe side if that helps.
So thats what got me questioning it the only difference i see is the male in the pictures shows a nutsack (layman term) and where the pistal should be its green not a white pistal my autoflower already showing a white pistal but my kush is still green and no (nutsack) but its only a month old from when i put the seed in the paper towel to start germination well two days short of a month.
I see nothing indicating male in the photos.
Don’t compare photos to autos. Your photoperiod likely won’t spit out pistils til you change her light cycle, or if you let her get really old. Autoflowers mature and sex at an expedited rate and are not at all sensitive to light schedules.
Your Kush is too young to be sexing in veg, and will stay that way for a long time. If she came from a feminized seed, she’s female. If she came from a reg seed, you won’t know til you flip to 12/12. Sorry to say but the reduced light cycle is what encourages them to show off their sex traits.
Thank you I’ve never really worked with none feminized seeds or photoperiod plants didn’t think it was worth it till i did more research and realized photoperiod produces alot more then autoflower but what scared me more is that it was more work with the photoperiod but got to thinking i was kicking ass with autoflower why not try photoperiod the worst-case I find new ways not to grow. I will let it live maybe flip the kush after i finish the autoflower. I appreciate your patience with probably a irrational question.
From what I see on TV these days you better wait and ask the plant. Wouldn’t want to “misgender” it and hurt it’s feelings. Lol. This ridiculous world. But for real you won’t be able to tell until the veg stage is over and you see pistils or something you don’t wanna see.
Here is a pic from a plant at a premature stage just like yours. This may have been a week older than your plant. Turned out to be female.
Newer pics.
Those pics uploaded so backwards
Well if its a autoflower it should be female specially if its a feminised seed
For an autoflower, it will be a regular seed (50/50 chance male/female) unless it’s specifically noted as a feminized seed. Autoflowers are most commonly feminized because that’s the best way to make them marketable, but don’t assume that all autoflowers are female, they aren’t.
Thats all i ever grow is autoflowers and there all been females and i didnt know u could even get a regular auto flower seeds all the seed banks i deal with they dont have regular seeds for autoflowers
There are a few places that sell regular auto seeds!
They are harder to find I will say
Yah i just had a look for them i found seedsman sells them ive never seen them before so i take back my previous comments im going to have a look at getting some regular seeds from breeding
Many sites sell them. But in my search about a month ago many were out of stock! Seems we are not the only ones looking to breed
I have colloidal silver for making fem seeds and i have silver to make colloidal Silver aswell
Lol i know i might be paranoid at this point but now im really concerned about this one would you mind giving me a hand on this pic i would greatly appreciate it
Those look pretty ball-sack to me. Imo pluck them off and wait to see if more emerge. I’ve had a plant that just randomly spat out a set of balls before flowering normally. It was weird.
So that one is an autoflower pineapple express from cropkings it has the sacs and pistals so im wonder if its a hermaphrodite?
Yep. The question is just whether the male parts continually re-emerge or if it’s a one-off incident. If they keep coming back, then I probably wouldn’t keep dealing with it. If it only pops out a few pollen sacs, I’d pluck them and let her keep flowering.
