Noob. First time trying to determine sex. The plant was bought at a dispensary and was dated 12/1. It’s a hash plant. I flipped to 12/12 10 days ago she noticed this a couple days ago. Looks male to me.
Too early to be sure, could be a calyx. Can you post a pic of the whole plant?

Yeah, looks a little early to tell yet. Very soon, but I’m leaning toward your first pic being a calyx. Keep your eyes on them in case you do get a male, so you can get him right out.

The first picture is zoomed in quite a bit. What part of the plant is that? Near a top, or farther down? As tiny as it is, it could even just be the new growth coming in.
It’s at the top of the plant in several spots.
I don’t know, doesn’t look definitive, either way. Give a day or two, and see if you see any pistils coming out.

@Magilla12 too early to tell. If it’s a clone from a dispensary I have my doubts that it’s a male. If you need to know what a male looks like you can check my grow journal out. I have one.

They said it was from feminized seed. I’ll know for sure in a couple days. Anticipation is killing me. Lol

Very intriguing 12/1 would make it four months old which should be plenty old enough to tell sex and I should think a dispensary should know the difference…but I see a couple of those round balls and no pistols. I am curious to see how it turns out

It’s only been under 12/12 for 10 days. I’ve had plants that showed sex under 18/6, and others that did nothing for over a week under 12/12. Just have to wait and see.

@Magilla12 yes that is a male. You can capture pollen and breed something with it if you’d like.
