Approximately how many grams of decarb flower to 14-16 oz of coconut oil do you folk use when infusing oil?

Anywhere from 1/2 zip to a full ounce. Just depends on the dosage/mg you’re shooting for

So “wax” is just slang fir some sort of extract. Or at least that’s how i use the word 
But in my case it’s BHO (butane honey oil)/ butane extraction.
And it’s actually more like hard sugar candy “aka shatter”. This is the last run I did, its about 3 grams there from trim off a Zkittles.
I have the bud from that same Zkittles plant loaded up in my blast tubes now to run as soon as i can find the time 
But there’s lot of videos on YouTube “how to make moonrocks”. Its not really to hard if you have the time which im lacking in

@OGIncognito what have you found is the best temp/ time duration to infuse with using your Levo? Ive been using mine for about 6months and still havent made up my mind of where I’d like it.

I think the answer to that depends entirely on what you’re infusing. Most things infuse best around 160-175°, with some exception (MCT oil goes hotter, around 180-200). Time varies but Levo recommends “2+ hours” for everything. I usually let it go for 4-8 hours when infusing, just because thats convenient for me.

Same as @Graysin mentioned, I go 165-175 for 3 hours and have only infused veg and coconut oil and butter a few times

Kind of following along, I use my Ardent Nova 110V Portable Decarboxylator, to decarb then My Infusion Buds Butter Infuser Machine, I was cooking on the stove but this helped me take the guess work out now I make Coconut THC oil and thanks to Newt I now have made some CNB coconut oil. I know when I add to the infusion machine Sun Flower Lectin is required for the emulsion part. The coconut oil runs an Hr and the 190 Everclear Tincture runs 4hrs.
Thanks @Graysin. Ive been running mine at 165 for 3-3.5 hours. I think im going to let it go longer going forward. I have used Levos calculator but just wanted others opinions who are using them. Im using coconut oil primarily.

Yeah, for coconut oil I think I’m right there with you. A solid 4-6 hours is great. The longer, the more extraction can happen. Downside is the more “green” your stuff might taste, too, but honestly when I’m looking for a potent oil I don’t expect it to taste like rainbows.

Bunger64, After you decarrb with the Ardent can you add decarbed material to the container with coconut oil and infuse.
Could you explain the process using everclear and why…Im misising something to understand the outcome,purpose using everclear. I think Im going to buy a Ardent mimi…opinions? My oven method is guess work for certain for decarb as is my inffusion water bath cooking to infuse. My oil is potent with my method but I would like to get the most out of my cannabis using better methods. Any tips.advice appreciated.

Ok just deleted all of that first response, I have guessed at things like you mentioned and after baking in the oven and guessing along with cooking my butter over the stove with out burning it. Like others have said been there done that. My decarb is a basic unit, low budget and the infusion the same. Wanted to stop guessing. The Everclear I infused it then let the first batch evaporate to a tar that I just added to my smoke. Coconut oil is my go to oil no butter anymore thats just me. In learning about making CBN I had to use my oven because of the time period to make it become CBN this is in oil form and so far have only made cookies I know they talk about putting it in capsules to use instead of smoking or under tongue. I also just tried to make some green dragon, my main use for that and Everclear is just another way to process. Alot of my guidance came from @Newt
