I have a question! I’ve been running my exhaust fan that’s at the top of the tent obviously and I have a small 4 inch intake that pulls cooler air in from a different room both on 8-9 speed and when I turned them both down the humidity dropped… it has been about 53-55% all day and with the lower fan speed the humidity dropped to 48% and still dropping. Any idea why this happens?Lights are off
Apparently wherever your air is pulling from it’s pulling in moisture with it and by lowering your fan speed it’s not pulling as much… you know kinda stale air with the light on or off it’s not gonna make much difference imho
With the lights on the temp and rh go back to normal…
Lights on is 80-85 rh 40-43
Lights off is 76-78 rh 50 -55
Central air controlled house
Ca is set at 76
It maybe that the heat from your light is keeping it down ya think
I’m just suggesting but i guess it all depends on what part of the world and environment you live in .
I think it is light on / off temp related. That is why there in morning dew. Temps drop overnight and water vapor condenses.
See what happens if you keep both fans on high while lights are off and see what happens. More air exchange will equalize conditions in and out of tent.
You’re realizing the dependency on outside air to make the climate ideal. Now to get a humidifier inside and automate it
I did yesterday. Both fans on high as they could go. Temp dropped humidity spiked with light off… 77 degrees in the room at the time. I live in North Carolina
I have a dehumidifier
If you’re lights on during the night you can pull fresh air from outside @13dyna if possible
How many fans do you have in the tent moving air around?
I’ve got 3 in each of my tents and they run 24/7 yet the humidity still rises at lights out.
I don’t run any kind of intake fan and I only have 1 flap open at the bottom of the tent on the opposite side from where my exhaust exits the tent.
50% humidity at lights out isn’t horrible, even in flower, as long as it’s not stagnant, humid air and it’s kept moving around in there. Do you have any under-canopy fans directing air upward towards the exhaust?
I just completed a grow and couldn’t get the humidity below 60-65% during lights off but keeping the air moving prevented any bud rot that might have occurred.
Ok let me start over Mabe it didn’t come out right.
Lights on
Exhaust fan and intake fan on
1 oscillation fan running
2 other fan’s running
Exhaust fan running at #7 setting vented out the window.
Intake fan at setting #6 pulling fresh air in from a different room. House a/c is running constantly.
Temp is 80-83 RH is 40-43 with all of that going on.
The lights shut off after the 18 hours and they are off for 6.
The temperature drops to 76-78 RH goes up to 53-55 and the fan’s setting remain the same I don’t touch a thing! NOW when I drop the speed of the fan’s WITH the lights off the temperature stays the same and the RH drops to 40-45.
Can anyone explain this?
4+4 ac infinity tent
Samsung 400 watt full spectrum led
Ac infinity 6 inch exhaust fan
Ac infinity 4 inch intake fan
The room that the tent is in stays around 77-78 degrees.
The room that I pull the fresh air from is also 77-78
3 fans and a dehumidifier inside
And one side flap halfway open
