Main cola has developed an appearance I am not familiar with. It looks as though its balled up, has kind of a different/rough leafy texture and visual. Primarily just the top half of the main cola, rest of the plant looks normal to me (i’ll include pics of ither bud sites for comparison). Was out of town for 3 days last week so could possibly have experienced some heat stress, but that is my only guess?

@beachglass Maybe im mistaken and theres nothing wrong, just seems like the top half of the main cola is very leafy and odd, and lacks actual flower. Have yet to see this before, so has me little worrisome. Thanks for the reply
@Medicineman33 i sure hope not, but im not familiar with the looks of male flowers to say for certain. But yeah, something definitely looks off. Thanks for the reply
@Fjc0003 are the last 2 pics from the same plant? The first images have very distinct singular leaves coming out of the top and look less mature pistol wise than the last images.
@Fieldofdreams yes that is the same plant, i included those for comparison. Which is why im confused as to what exactly is going on. Definitely has less pistols yes, and just a lack of flower/bud formation in general.
Other than a different leaf structure I dont see anything to be alarmed about. Same thing happened with a few of mine and all 8 seeds were the same bunch. Only 2 did it. Stacked up nicely. Some of the biggest buds of my grow.
@Fjc0003 the leaf differences and maturity shown could be a tell that you’ll need staggered harvesting of this plant. For whatever reason she’s displaying differently from cola to cola. I don’t have an answer to the why though. Overall it’s a good looking plant. I’ll lurk in the background so I can hear some thoughts from some of the more experienced growers.
Maybe @kaptain3d@OGIncognito@SilvaBack203@Graysin@Spiney_norman may have seen this behavior before?
2nd picture has me concerned of a hermie and she almost looks like she has been pollinated possibly the 2 areas a circled the lower looks like male nanners and the top circle looks like a cluster of male balls almost
@LiesGrows i sure hope not . If that were the case, is there any chance of cutting and tossing that part of the plant and continuing grow on with the rest? Or would the whole plant likely to be pollinated and show same signs due time?
Thanks for the reply.
Can I jump in, I picked 4 or 5 pollen sacs off my flowering female a couple weeks ago. They were really obvious, not just a maybe. After about a week it showed no more pollen sacs. They havent come back. Glad I didnt hack her apart!
She looks like she’s revegging - but only on top. Likely the top is shading the other colas so they aren’t revegging.
That is possibly part of that funky appearance.
Also astute - good eyes.
See if you can remove the growth where Lies circled - usually the nanners will pluck out pretty easily. I dunno what the best course of action is - see if there’s nanners in there, for starters, and see if you can remove em if there are - and if that’s all wildly incorrect, then it’s probably time to 12/12 her light cycle.
not sure, im looking real hard. I see what @LiesGrows says though, I thought it a little deformed leaf. But Ive never spotted them in a bud that mature, only younger buds so he knows better
