Thanks!

This last week has really progressed on recovery for the infections. My leg discoloration is fading and my toes are mobile again so apparently I’m headed in the right direction.

I hope the same for your family member. I had a good friend, big tall strong polish woman, who had leukemia. I watched her battle, I don’t wish that on anyone.

Truely… TRUELY… wish y’all the best!

Just a quick search got this…

Fungal Infection Treatment with Mushrooms
Fungal infections, caused by Candida and other fungal species, can be challenging to treat. While conventional antifungal medications are effective, they may have side effects and not always eradicate the infection. Mushrooms, particularly certain species, have been found to exhibit antifungal properties, making them a promising natural adjunct therapy for fungal infections.

Key Findings:

Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum): Exhibits antifungal activity against Candida albicans, inhibiting biofilm formation and reducing adhesion (Bhardwaj et al., 2017).
Chaga (Inonotus obliquus): Shows antifungal properties against Candida species, with potential benefits for gut health and immune system support (Valverde et al., 2015).
Shiitake (Lentinula edodes) and Oyster (Pleurotus ostreatus) mushrooms: Contain beta-glucans, which have been found to stimulate immune cells and exhibit antifungal activity against Candida species (Kim et al., 2018).
Agaricus bisporus (White Button, Crimini, and Portobello mushrooms): Extracts have been shown to exhibit antifungal activity against Candida yeast species (Kim et al., 2018).
Mechanisms of Action:

Prebiotic effects: Mushrooms can enhance the growth of beneficial flora, starving Candida of nutrients and reducing its ability to thrive.
Immune system support: Mushrooms can stimulate immune cells, such as macrophages and natural killer cells, to combat fungal infections.
Antifungal compounds: Certain mushroom species contain bioactive compounds that directly inhibit fungal growth and biofilm formation.
Clinical Applications:

Topical applications: Mushrooms can be used as a natural adjunct therapy for skin and nail fungal infections, applied directly to the affected area.
Oral supplements: Mushroom extracts or powders can be consumed orally to support immune system function and potentially combat systemic fungal infections.
Conclusion:

While conventional antifungal medications are effective, mushrooms may offer a natural and complementary approach for treating fungal infections. Further research is needed to fully understand the mechanisms of action and optimal dosing regimens for mushroom-based therapies. However, the current evidence suggests that certain mushroom species, such as Reishi, Chaga, Shiitake, and Agaricus bisporus, may be beneficial for fungal infections.

If it was my body I’d be reading all I could on mushrooms :green_heart::metal:t2:
