LST autos, tie off or stake down?

How late do you keep doing LST? This lovely lady is 44 days old. Again, new grower but I believe she is in second week of pre-flower? It’s Royal Gorilla auto. Obviously the main stalk and lowest branches are hard and set, so no LST. Is there a general consensus on when to stop? This one looks like she’s really ready to start the stretch.

I’m into day 63 with my autos and I’m still tying down the odd side cola to expose it to more light. I just finished working on my plants an hour ago. Did a slight defoliation, and pulled down two side branches that had decent buds, but I wanted them to get more light.

I am sure someone here has already said that training autos is counter productive.
Autos have a predetermined lifespan and training takes time.
There are exceptions, especially with VLST, but most autos are better off grown under natural conditions. If you want to train, grow standard photoperiod.

Nonsense I have a tent full of trained and topped auto plants. You have to know what you are doing. I have had a lot of success.

Sorry I keep dropping connection. What I meant by the comment is if you start early on a auto you can top successfully. I listed earlier that I start around the 3rd node to top and if just LST i shoot for it to be a little leggy on purpose so I can anglr it. Takes work but good results.

Good technique. This is an example of an exception.
In general it is not recommended, particularly for new growers who may already be struggling with the learning curve.

I use dip cans lol. Worked.

Hey all, here are a couple Royal Gorilla auto that I trained and got like this. It doubled the yield of my previous grow. I used ties, punched holes, and stakes as well. It all led me to understand that we need something better, SO i INVENTED IT!!!

Watch out for my training tool, will be launching soon. You can see the head of the prototype on the outside of the fabric pot. The final product is slick as hell and will make it super easy to double your yield!!

I’ll post here when the product is about to launch. See y’all soon!!

Holy shmokes. They look incredible partner. Since this is kind of the training group. should I train my plant if I’m not topping her? My next plant I’m going to top but my first plant I never topped so I was wondering I need to do any type of training? Bending over the top? Tie branches?

Also finally just transplanted her into a 5 gallon from a 2,5 gallon. Cause she was definitely due. Been in that small pot since March 1st. So she will perk back up again. But I also got told she had leaf variegation. Which really didt stop popping up until maybe 2 weeks ago. Maybe 3 at most. So hoping that was just signs of wanting more room to grow.
And I also amended her with gas green 4-4-4. At 3 tbsp a gallon.
And she isn’t auto. She’s photo street weed

I had did her like that today but I felt like I was just putting a lot of competition with the other branches that are underneath it So I just said the heck with it.
But when I transition to flower should I hold the branches down from stretching? And the top? Or should I just let her be? She’s probably a sativa some say so I know I have a stretch. I have to deal with possibly. But this info will come handy for future hands on

That looks slick as snot, caught my eye cause its outside the pot for when they get bigger :+1:
