LST and Tacos, who wants?

@Newt @Tylersays @kellydans Okay so this morning I went in to do some more LST to give her some breathing room, and upon spreading her out, I noticed a few trouble spots possibly?? Some of the newer growths are “taco"ing with bright lime green centers…what does this mean?? :frowning: :frowning: also I noticed some of the tips of her brand new white trics are starting to brown at the tips? Can anyone please help ? Thanks so much!!
Week 2 of Flowering, 5 weeks total in soil, about 16.5” tall, and stanky. Lol.

Plant look fine. Good job.

Tacoing leaves are most commonly the result of excess nutrients, too much light, or pH problems.

Your lighting appears to be fine given plant structure. Are you measuring pH and PPM?

Overall I think your plant looks good. The lime green color new growth that’s normal. Must be a auto 5 weeks an flowering, big plant Keep up the good work

Lime green is fine in the new growth, it’s just immature chlorophyll. It should darken up soon enough.
Leaves “taco-ing” upwards can be a sign of heat stress, but it’s not very pronounced. How are your temps running?
Overall she’s looking great!!

Currently my light is an HLG 300L Rspec on full strength and 30 inches above canopy in a 3x3x6 tent. Can’t raise her any higher… also, I’ve been doing my best with the ppms and ph(last check was last feeding, ph 6.7 &1100ppm ) however, until 2 days ago, I didn’t have enough soil in the pot and had drainage issues, but that problem is currently fixed, I think. Added some top soil and did a plain watering but this time I watered bottom-up so not to flood the roots with newly nuted soil
My Temps are 81° lights on, 73 on dark period, with rh between 44-49%

@Tylersays Thanks so much ! She’s an auto white widow from growerschoiceseeds. Had some struggles along the way, with temps getting up to 85-87 when I got this new light, but now it’s stable at 81! also, what happens when my girl gets too tall? I can’t raise my light any higher, and it’s at 29" from canopy… can I just dim my light? Or will it still light burn,??

Looks normal, happy, and healthy to me. You’re doing a great job!

Disappointed in the lack of actual tacos in this thread

But taco Tuesday is right around the corner

Y’all making me want to make a Dallas run and hit up the taco shops

I’ve got my shells and hot sauce at the ready. Actually just picked up Melinda’s Ghost Pepper sauce. Great flavor and good heat. I like heat but it’s gotta have flavor. I don’t do pain for the sake of pain.

@CoolTtheWiz
What soil are you using, what are you feeding, and what’s your water source?

It looks from the leaf tips that you’re running em either in a hot mix or really riding the lightning in terms of being right at the max the plant can take for nutes. Nothing wrong with that.

Could be squirming a little from the bloom
Nutes or a little light stress or salts in the water or just nothing!

Haha, I didn’t think the taco part of this would get so much traction, xD:taco::taco::taco::taco::taco::taco::taco::taco::taco::taco::taco::taco::taco::taco::taco::taco::taco::taco::taco::taco::taco::taco::taco::taco::taco::taco::taco::taco::taco::taco::taco::taco::taco::taco::taco:. There we go!

Also, I’m running plain FFOF in a 3 gallon pot, and my water source is filtered water from my fridge, which runs a little cold I’m realizing so I’ll be using PhD tap water from now on! :ok_hand: and I’ve only given her 2 feedings of the ff grow big and big bloom… and did a plain water feeding/ flush when I added new top soil…

This might be the start of a water quality issue. I say this because that tacoing looks like what I’ve seen come from using softened water.
